The mindlink to the holographic array is in critical condition. I’m working with an ion refabricator to repair the apparatus, while simultaneously keeping tabs on the Generation Ship itself through a parallel link to the navigation system. Sparks are flying all around me (and the irony is not lost on somebody called a Conductor).
If I can stabilize it enough to connect with the Hibernator Simulation Nexus, it will give me one chance to salvage this situation. The direct path to access what I need is inaccessible from the ship, but the First Programmer placed a back door inside the simulation as a safety net.
With some effort, I strap myself back into the mindlink chamber, and then everything blacks out.
