The glitching in her simulated reality has catastrophically worsened. I can only watch as the vast skyline surrounding her begins to contort, flickering in and out of existence at a frenetic speed. She attempts to scream for help, but the sounds only come out in incoherent fragments.
A deluge of anomalous digital artifacts disrupt the virtual space that I occupy, and with a sudden shock I’m cast out of her simulation. I’m left in a momentary disconcerting silence, but this gives away to another more prominent sound - the high-pitched squeal of a siren coming from a different space.
