She might have been my Valentine
But she’s not anymore
We woke up with a hangover
Clothes strewn across the floor
Downstairs are empty bottles
And a pile of unwashed plates
And someone left the TV on
It must have been quite late
Yesterday seems long ago
Now tomorrow’s here
We don’t remember anything
It happens every year
We like to make it special
Make sure we’re both around
Lovely food and lovely wine
A film and settle down
We like to make it special
Like we were newly wed
We like to make it special
Just to prove we’re still not dead
She might have been my Valentine
Not certain anymore
She was probably my Valentine
We just can’t say for sure
