full, the ocean inside
of meadows smelling softly
of butterflies that swallow
all, there inside, it all
it’s too painful to think
and I must be stronger
than this tornado in my
soul, there inside, to release
tidal waves erupt
and wash away my shame
the carnage swept aside
and live a little more this way
full, the mountains reach
the sky and breech the barren
peaks covered in
snow, wonderful and cold
sweetly calls the rain
an avalanche to cull the pain
release me from the
fail, of everything I do
hurricanes collide
to wash away my shame
the carnage swept aside
and live a little more this way

I'll tell you a secret, a lot of them started out as piano songs, and then I had to learn to play them on guitar. every song but 1 has multiple guitars trying to do just that.

Beautiful. Seriously, these song-opening arrangements are just outstanding.
