Left here smilin' but you came back mean
Ain't no need to tell me, I know where you've been
Ya tell me you love me, an' you really care
an' if you just had some more, you'd be happy to share
You came back wantin' once you'd lost in all…
Sloane did me a favor & played an electric guitar part on this one. I had hoped to work with her more on this project, but she wound up leaving town to help take care for a recovering family member.

A WildGeas and Cave Street collaboration
You see me and I see you
Is that what's real?
You say bad and I say good
Which one is real?
When you do the things you do
Then how do you feel?
There's a time
There's a season
For change…

When you do the things you do
Then how do you feel?
There's a time

For change…
I've been all around
I've been up and down
I said I've traveled in all directions
Now
The world is new
If you've seen what I've seen
And you've been where I've been
I guess you know what I mean

This is an experiment in stacking real time delay/looped tracks that had no preconceived connections... all overdubs were done without listening to previously recorded tracks. I hear some very interesting synchronizations.... You?

Goodbye Blue Monday

Goodbye blue Monday
There's nothing else to say
We always knew
we would part this way
Time comes to say goodbye
To pause perhaps and wonder why
Why we always had to be
So blue, so blue
I can see that life…
I'm still getting around to re-upping everything I took down last October.... this is one of them, and if I recall correctly, this is the track that was the impetus for Paul & I to start collaborating. (Something I've been missing a lot…
My Last Demon

My last demon
Follows me around
I hear his suggestions
But you don't hear a sound
My last demon
Is riding in the back
He looks like he's sleeping
But he's on the attack
He leans in and whispers
And I forget…

This one is for all of you intrepid audio explorers out there: our latest experimental improv featuring Treefrog on electrified cigar box & washboard... Definitely not for the faint of heart!

Had to be different. I started out with 12 string accoustic chord progression and all and all these wonderful folky ideas but this is was I stuck with.
This song was inspired by a long walk....
Lyrics:
Down by the river, down by the shore we go
The moon above cast a beautiful glow
We walked around talking through the night
I can’t help but think how it felt right
Hey Constance, don’t you feel…

Nick, this is most excellent... I want to try to tell you how much this moves me, but I'm truly at a loss for words...
the space after that first chorus is just achingly beautiful, and yet you carry it on to a wonderful finish..
well done, sir.
This is a song about questions, especially after experiencing the loss of someone special.....here are the lyrics:
Down past the bridge
By Saint Peter‘s church
She hums a prayer
Her eyes blue and bare
She’s longing for comfort…

I hear a lot of very interesting ideas in this tune -- not to mention a ton of youthful excitement! Which is actually very much appreciated by an aspiring "old fart" such as me self...
With some minor refinement, I think you could record a truly excellent version of this song!
Please keep writing, recording, sharing, growing, and learning with all of us here in this amazing musical community!
Also, if you have the means, I suggest getting into some virtual collaborations. It's one of the things we do best here at alonetone! :-D

Love the arrangement & the layers in this tune. I wouldn't call it driving, but it's beyond upbeat! Very uplifting track, musically whatever you want to call it! :-)
I sure would appreciate it if you would post the words to all these tracks!! Help out my old ears here, wouldja??
K.G. made gold with this one. words are oh so good. J.H. broke away from his bass and added a very nice banjo part. i did a little clapton bending . i think this is a magical moment for our band. we all came together at the end and did it! i hope…
this was one of our first takes of the month. still in search of a mix at this point in the month. my personal low point because i forgot my lyric notes and really cut my words short and didnt sing or deliver well. i highly believe in moving on…
releasing my inner ozzy and tony iommi. had lots of fun with this one. started as a little middle of jam practice thing at the end of january. boy it took off. the whole band live on this one! this song is dedicated to Moschell, who motivated…
*excellent track* Vocals remind of the dude from Accept (I think -- is that the 'Balls to the Wall' band?) and I dig the heavy Sabbath influence.... you guys really got a great band going here with all the various influences you bring to the table
words by The Goods,E.G. & K.G. . music by me M.F. . our preferred rpm track . this song is about a coward and what he has coming, based on an assault of one of our loved ones. you can hear the anger. that is cool!
This as kick ass as an old B.O.C. or original Alice Cooper Band tune. That's pretty bad ass company. And I must say that was a tasteful & amusing bit of self-censorship with that well placed guitar bite. Tough track, for sure.
Thirty seconds in & I love the funky loose (kind half-drunk) vibe of this... woah, so familiar yet not derivative feeling... love these changes! Excellent vocals!
K.G. wanted to write a "good times" song and i think he hit this one out of the park. here in indy the highway does a big loop around the city. add some fun and music and that equals a rockin' good time.
Dig that fuzzy guitar tone! I wanna write some rockers like this, but am really lacking in the rocking drum kit dept. Gonna have to see what I can do about that.
Everything tightens up very nicely by that second guitar solo around three minutes in.... and the fuzz gets even fuzzier! *Nice*
Comments on Cave Street's stuff
...and playing it back clean!
Come over here and sing that!
excellent...
Good find Regs. Cool collab guys, loved the brass section.

another fantastic vocal........just love that voice.......I'm off to see Ursulla the sea queen so watch out.......
love the use of percussion on this.....not to mention your vocal ...I should just fav them all a fantastic RPM album
I had to drop in on this tune. It's the best. ~WG
I love the sustained note at the beginning and end, it speaks volumes. Kind of makes me hold the breath while listening!
Very intimate sounding, like you are singing to yourself in ponderous mood.
Ahh, there's lovely as we say in Wales! That voice just melts me!
Dig this alien freakout.
Cool and intriguing. I like!
Another great track mate.
Great track mate top vocals.
Classic Cave Street. My side of the Street.
Great lyrics M.T.
Very well done for a one pass recording, it keeps all the sponteneity that way.

this is a heavy tune Nick, you really build the feeling right up till the end....
for some reason this reminds me of my trip to Amsterdam.... breakfast at Barney's in particular
cool track... was it created entirely with the phone, or just using the phone as the recording device? either way, nice work
dig that auto wah
Most excellent. Love this mellow groove!

Great ending to a great album. Total *WIN* for you guys... agree w/ MTC & am/fm -- a great variety of styles & vocals, job well done for sure.
acoustic guitar & swampy mix reminds me of an old old Beck album... the electric guitar sounds slowed down... another way cool track, for sure.

I love how different sounding your tunes are from one another. Cool Lou Reed-ish vox... There's also a Ric Ocasek (sp?) quality in there that I like

yeah, just a great vibe, great vocals, dig the laugh at the end... :-)
