I'm trying to experiment with intentionally combining two different sounds. Since I seem to find this difficult I am starting with using a drone as one of the sounds taking my inspiration from the opening tracks of the Brian Eno & Jah Wobble…

It sounds like a track from Banjo-Kazooie, the game had a lot of brass in its music. You should give this another go and refine it. Since you even said it was a quick job, I'm sure you know where the imperfections lie and what you'd like to change. This could be something really good if you were to put some effort forward.
