still one of my personal faves. - although i'd wish to redo some parts, i'm stuck with this version, since i don't own one of the synths used there anymore..

We originally wrote this song on a cheap home style kind of a Yamaha keyboard and a pair of Cobra walkie talkies. This studio version is much better. We kept the bleeps from the walkie talkies.
(response) that song is going to be the begining of the album (maybe). You nailed it again, but really the whole song needs work. I imagine it will be December or next year by the time i get this little project done. It's only ten tracks but i'm trying to blend each song together, into one story line. The vocals are going to just be placed here and there all over the cd, and the music will go from electric guitar, to acoustic, to distorted, and looks like a friend of mine is going to do some 8-bit stuff for the end. Which will be the same notes and key as the first just done all in 8 bit samples. Anyway, this is the hardest cd I have done so far.
last eve there was a beautiful moon
dancing in a blue black sky
outside my piano room, it called to me
this tune is a one take playful moment, loosely based on the main theme from the 2nd mov of my piano sonata,,, i only toned down about…
The drums on the Coffee with a little sugar song are all Norm. I took one of his drum beats and added some bass and guitar. All of my other songs are done with synth, using good real/digital/ samples and the program fruity loops.

I believe there's a demo version of this tune that I've already uploaded to alonetone. Originally written as a piano piece.
I picked up on one of Norm's wonderful grooves.
I added some bass, guitar, horns, and a basic drum track. Kicker and snare with a few cymbols. I didn't want to walk on Norm's fine, fine, percussion.
Thanks Norm for allowing me the opportunity…

A couple of nice reels played on guitar, the first is The Cup of Tea, can't remember the name of the second one. Unfortunately my midi flute scratch track got added in the mix…

An old English/Scottish folk song. It's very well known, but has a great melody and I'm not ashamed to play it...

nice!
It's great hearing some new songs from you and these really are wonderful. Nice to hear the Italian too.
Very Nice!
I think your arrangement for this is spot on. It is an intense song and you carry it off perfectly. Leaves me a bit on edge. Fantastic!
Enjoyed this one very much.
A most beautiful song with great music. Love your vocals.
Oh ladies, gorgeous as usual. Very pretty vocals and delicate piano playing.
Glad you liked that one!

Mmm, I see I must think of a different adjective other than lovely. Oh hell to it, these tunes are all LOVELY.
cool, bring the weird!
Certainly a very lovely piece. I like the harmony with the whistles too.
Yes and it's absolutely lovely.
oh surprise, surprise! and quite an unexpected direction: funky and orchestral, that's a sweet retro-flavored piece! :)

I haven't heard this before, it's lovely.
I love mandolins. Very beautifully done. I think your forte has to be folk.
Lovely foot tapper, cleverly placed percussion. Man, those whistles, superb.
Very, very nicely done Doug.
