Sometimes magic happens. Sometimes it even happens to me. Open D tuning (low to high D A D G A D). Just a practice session where I had the guts to press record. No drugs. Just beer with dinner. Maybe they put something in the creme brule…

mmi, very atmospheric. sets a hypnotic mood. great tool for seducing women. 2 glasses of wine & 1 - 3:33/min of "opened".

This was a total experimental piece about just making a soundscape. I played instruments I don't really play, and put some thru different effects just to experiment. The Bushisms add some color to what would otherwise just be some noise. I…

trippy and a little far out...just what I would expect music on mars to sound like. I enjoyed listening.

Honestly I have no idea where this came from or how. I was messing with Omnisphere patches and came across a lovely, flutey, breathy sound that put me in mind of the scenes inside the monolith at the end of 2001. I setup a Rytme pattern to…

Suspenceful...with ambient and cinematic overtones. One to really get the imagination working.

I think I dislike this song, but it's been sitting in my bounce folder far too long and something about it still makes me play it from time to time. Maybe you will like it more than I do. the simple lyric is not meant to be interpreted literally…

I love the fact that you are honest about the fact that you're not sure if you like the track. I sometimes feel like that about tracks of mine. I really like this and actually don't know why you don't like it. It's really got me bouncing along to it...very good.

I love the instrumentation and building vocals, even though its the same line over and over!

written, recorded, and poorly mixed in one hour. Instrumentation: acoustic guitar, fretless bass, 2 tablas, tambourine, rattle, and human body for snapping, clapping, and vocals.

Rough sketch of a proposed dreamy 12 string piece that I couldn't pull off on the 12 string so did this quick electric version with vocal pads. Not sure of the recording quality- sounds OK in my cans and kinda crappy on my monitors. Recorded march…

I think if I was going to write...which I promise myself one day that I will...I would use this track for inspiration. When I listen a little story unfolds in my mind. Very nice.

This reminds me a little of the kind of thing that Pink Floyd would do...very interesting.

This was the last song I composed for RPM 2009. I had a riff kicking around all month, then slowed it down and turned on the Lennon filter.

Yay, the Lennon filter!! :) Interesting how a song evolves from one idea into another by some drastic yet simple change like attenuating the tempo. Enjoying your mandolin playing! I have a 100yr old heirloom here but it needs some new tuning heads and strings. I haven't used it in a couple of years and I'm dying to get it going again.

Something completely different- Uilleann pipes(Irish bagpipes) and synth. I wrote this tune over 20 years ago in the style of traditional Irish slow airs. It was recorded way back in 1991 for an album that's been out of print for over 15 years…
