2009 Record Production Month Challenge offering. Very pleased with the collective results. The title came from my friend Zane. His iced tea was in a damaged cup. Thus the title. There are various quotes in the song including some from Mishima…
start here at the airport
feels like im going blind
middle of the day in a dark bar
1000 miles away from peace of mind
im tring to remember
when i was a kid
did the sun set in my back yard
i think it did
what comes before and goes on…
really clean sound. reminds me of the windham hill label. i like the string and fret sounds as well. this was my first year doing the rpm challenge and i have found so many talented and inspiring artists, you being one

Lyrics:
I'm not sleeping
I'm staring at the ceiling
My mind's a thousand miles away
I'm finding faces in the shapes
of plaster that was scraped on the ceiling
Killing time is not so bad
but when you're trapped inside your head…

Really love this one. The "strings" coming in is a great moment. The repeated organ arpeggiated line at the end is also totally beautiful.

this outro is incredible.
I love your singing style. Nicely understated, and you match your guitar to it wonderfully.

Beautiful. I love the "future...future...FUTURE...future" etc. Nice subtle wit, and great instrumentation.
i always like the acoustic mixed with fat electronic rhythms.
Mike Tyson's Punchout! Ha! It took me about a minute to catch the reference.
You did a wonderful job with the album. It works as a whole so well. I love how several of the tracks find a hidden melody and riff on it.
Amazing track. I love when the low end takes over about halfway in, then a bit later, the almost wahwah/trombone sounds. So great.
Great track - very original and well over the edge.
Too beautiful.
What a great sound - love the harmonies and the guitar solo is swell. I have a feeling you gus are just a little crazy.
Excellent vocal and the perfect accompaniment. Really enjoyed this track.
