Greg, the lyrics brought tears, silently sliding down my cheek, and a tug at my heart. The words have so much meaning and you found the true meaning of "Photographs" being a timeless picture of our memories. You have a special gift of music and I am so grateful you share with all of us.

Greg this is one of my favorites of all time. Your lyrics really touched me. And that timely harmonica just brings the bittersweet feel of the song. You are amazing!
I'm trying my hand at creating instrumentals for Sync Licensing. This track is actually one file containing 3 pieces of music: Orion's Belt 1, 2 & 3.
You can find my instrumentals on Pond5. Here is the address:

A friend got me excited about writing short instrumentals for Video, TV etc and posting them on Pond5 ( A site catering to that type of thing). I recorded this little banjo piece this morning.
Just in time for St Patrick's Day . . . . And with any luck we might have a bonus "LIVE" Leprechaun track coming soon. The Minnesota Coffee table met and recorded a fun version last night.

We have a great bunch of singer/songwriters and their beloved here in Cowtown. You would love being here and you would be loved. Your little creative contingency feels like a more intimate group and more involved in projects together. It gives me the sense of warmth on a winter day in an old log cabin, too cold to go out so you all just make the best of it. I wonder what kind of treats you all bring. What kind of liquids you share... How far you travel to get together. We had what we call a house concert night before last at one of "our" houses. Levi Ray and his dad and husband/wife duo. We all put some money in the kitty and each played for about an hour. After, we always do a little song circle for the rest of us. Tamales, chips and salsa, ice water and wine, cheese cubes and cookies. I would guess many of us drive 15/20 miles. Starts about 7 and we get home about midnight. We also have a weekly, Wednesday evening song circle around a fire pit in the patio at a biker bar called Dirty Water. Everyone plays along. Girls and guys. Some of us go back many years.
If Texas Water had heard this when we were in our hayday (sic) we would have done this one up in three-part harmony. I'm sitting here singing along. Great song for a Fort Worth Saloon.
Here is the latest song challenge offered by the Minnesota Asscociation of Songwriters:

Your mission this month is twofold:
1. Try creating a boundary between the production of content versus the judging…
I haven't listened to this for a while. Still knocks me out. Amazing presence. If this is not multitracked, if this is one of your coffee table productions, it... nope. No way. Every element is crisp. Flawless delivery. Master vocal. Pristine guitars...da da.
Once again, Greg Connor has kindly added his wonderful harmonica and Dobro to this song. Thanks so much, Greg! Mean Streak Blues is a song about how wrongly we could deal with frustration....enjoy listening

Oh yes, this is the stuff. Thanks for the invitation to *"season"* your song a little.
It was fun pulling out that old Dobro and bottle neck. This song is just made for it!
Sometimes it's hard to figure out what just happened. And then again it's sometimes hard to figure out something that happened years ago.
(To answer the question by the commenter, that's all me and my little self all alone in the basement…
Hey all, which Greed version do you prefer? :)
Lead guitar, organ, and drums added by Vic Lyn. He did a great job - extremely talented and insightful with music. Thanks so much, Vic. (Check out Vic's website: www.avlstudios.com

My instrumental cover of Christina Aguilera's song "Beautiful" I guess I am ready for the old folks home!!!! ...now that I am doing ballads!!!
I just happen to really like the chord progression and thought I would try an instrumental cover…
This is a request from Gene Eric Mann
one of mine and Andy's older ones...we envisioned this a a soundtrack for a horror movie....Andy thought of the story because his son likes to go into the woods near his house and brng back sticks!!

Unique, and very interesting.
I like how both Justin and Gene love it. They have an interesting ability to always agree. I have to concede, they're both right on this one!
Another oldie form Andy and I and requested by Gene Eric Mann....this one is about a friend of Andy's that had a drug problem....Andy wrote all the lyrics and plays rhythm guitar...weird guitar parts and all other instruments sre me and me playing…
We've always adored this song, there is another version but decided to re-record it. Now I think the Good Wife sounds quite good, when I think of the crap health problems she endured over the last 4 years. I am bias of course !!!! Lastly apologies…
This song has been sat on the marvellous mechanical mouse organ in the broom-cupboard for well over a year.
A few weeks ago I got a bit of a scare - the mouse organ nearly broke down (in the middle of sorting out Delta Dawn). While I was fixing…
One I wrote about 5 or 6 years ago, very different to the old version. It came about because of the shameful treatment of the soldiers coming back injured from that S**t hole of a country by the British Gov. They were forced into doing much more…
Justin Otter Guy (just another guy) and Gene Eric Mann (generic man) are the same musician. My originals are penned as Gene tunes (alonetone.com/mythopoetica) and my covers are uploaded as Justin tunes (/redshirt).
This is another GHOST OF JOHN MURPHY piece from the VOICES CD...

It started with an earthquake half a mile below

A tune for Halloween.
I wanted to do something creepy. It works.

I turn your knob

I palm your panties

Lyrics:
I don’t care for love and happiness
I got myself a yacht and a mansion
I don’t believe in God and religion
I got myself sixty four billion
Greed, greed, greed is what I need
Greed, greed, greed is what…
You have some great lines here . . . *Got Myself A High Priced Honey"*
Judging from the headlines in the news lately I think I might have a hint where the inspiration for this song came from.
Well done Nick!

You really know how to tickle an emotion. I love it James!
I just listened to them back to back. Both good, but, the acoustic version has my vote. It has that raw feel to it. Both good though.
NOW I'M IN THE MOOD !!!! Let the festivities commence.
You got my feet tapping with this one! Great Mix.
I had to press play for another listen this morning.
Unique, and very interesting. I like how both Justin and Gene love it. They have an interesting ability to always agree. I have to concede, they're both right on this one!
Good one guys!
This is a great groove. Very inviting.
Interesting bits of music! It will be fun to hear the finished result.
I don't know the original either, but I like this. Both of you sound *GREAT!*
Beautiful Andrew!
Interesting subject matter. The reality of war almost makes a person sick thinking about it. You put this together nicely though. A great tribute.
You sound a lot like my friend Gene! *Coincidence?* . . . . You got me chuckling this morning. Sincerely, *Justin Time*
I may have to download this to give the kids a chill tonight on Halloween! *WHO'S THERE ?*
*OMG* . . . You scared the Hell out of me!
I'm winking right back at you . . . *Birds of a feather*.
*BIGGER THAN LIFE* . . . Again
