This something I put together pretty quickly. But it reminds a little of the stuff they play in between news stories on NPR's radio show, "All Things Considered." Dear Robert Siegel, please play my song on the radio :)

On a brisk autumn evening, in front of the Weather Channel, fast asleep, my dog and I dreamed up this song.

Did the world really need a cheesy, spaghetti western version of this classic Eagles song? I'm not sure. Did I make one anyway? Yes. Yes, I did. By the way the painting is "Villa Diablo" by Downe Burns.

my band (white bison) has been all about the spaghetti westerns lately, so not only do i appreciate this, but i suggest you continue, and you never stop, never look back, not even if shots are heard and the women and children yell in hysterical fright!
The idea was to create something with a bit of the flavor from Bach's Passacaglia in C Minor (and especially the orchestral transcription by Respighi). I didn't quite hit the mark, but it was a really fun project.

@Whales - thanks :)
I think there is a flanger in there and a phaser plugin, but it's not a real guitar. It's a few e. guitar sounds from my Korg keyboard. I piled on a ton of effects from FL studio and Guitar Rig to try to make it sound decent, but I don't remember exactly what I did.

this stuff is right up my alley. for some reason, they remind me a little live recordings of old rush tunes from the caress of steel era - like 'the necromancer' and 'fountain of lamneth' I think I will download your album this weekend and go for a drive.
Here's a piece I wrote for my buddy Ron's Documentary about the Tuareg people of Niger... check out the website, and watch some clips from the movie about BAMBINO!!

this is really cool! As a beginning music-maker I am really impressed by how you kept that bass line groove fresh and interesting for the full 12 minutes. It was really great all the way through! The clapping, snapping, stomping rhythm breakdown at around 3 or 4 minutes was really cool, too :)
This is my first musical expedition into the midi keyboard. Having never played the piano its a fun learning experience. Thanks to Norm for lending me Stinkbug!
cool - very interesting choice of timbre :) keep exploring with the midi - it's like trading in you eight used crayons for a brand new box of crayola 128. so much fun!
