Music that bridges the medieval and the modern, the visceral and the cerebral, with rich textures emerging from aleatoric structures, highly ornamented and lyrical post-tonal counterpoint and a dynamic rhythmic character emerging from the juxtaposition of strongly pulse driven metered material with freer, ‘open pulse; material. His music has been called 'magical’ by the New York Times, and ‘drop-dead beautiful’ by the Washington Post.
