Demo for new song written during a songwriting class with Abbie Gardner and used for the April 2020 RPM Challenge. All lyrics and music copyrighted. All rights reserved.

Intentions are blind,
and words recuse,
I tried peace of mind,
But only silence grew.
Opened Bottles of wine,
With no breakthroughs,

If your door closes it’s unfair,
When your next door, is next to nowhere.

Flickering light,
Finds disorder abounds,
Drifting kite,
Smashes to the ground,
Watertight,
Still sinking down

Like flying blindfolded in’n arm chair,
When your next door’s still next to nowhere.

Sailing at night,
Course inbound,
Passing moonlight,
Reveals your ship has run aground

Like running through Jello in Times Square,
When your next door, is next to nowhere.

Inspired moments quite unaware,
Piece by piece, open and bare,
Building slowly toward something to share,
Your next door can open, anywhere.

Saved!
