Thanks Dave! To be honest, i don't remember the tonal vs modal differences.. i read about it in some books years ago, but i can't remember now. Anyway, i could write the score in MuseScore and print it to a pdf if you want to take a look at it. I'm so sorry i couldn't answer your question... but i can feel some barroque influence in this little one.
This one comes from an old jam from about 20 years ago. Made some changes and arrengements. It always made think of 'fishermen', thus the title, wich i took from the Edgar Allan Poe's short story 'A Descent into the Maelström'.
I hope you like…

Thanks Movement! I really like this one too. After recording it, i had been very sad for almost two days. Well, the same feeling that made it come to me...
Thanks kirk!! Two nights before i was playing and recording another piece for about 2 hours. That one has at the beginning a reversed chord, like this one has at the end. Saddly, i didn't saved it, and the program crashed, and i lost all the work... it was almost finished. I think that was the reason why it came to my mind to use it. Thanks again!!
Started out be an innocent little jazzy study in quartal harmony, but the DL4 was still in my signal path and things went downhill from there! Another done with my beloved '58 Stratotone
This is a live cut from an NPR radio broadcast back in 1988 while my Irish Trad group Scartaglen was on one of its first east coast tours. Found recently on a cassette tape. Musically this was one of my favorite periods in the history of the band…
Thanks Mov!!! You know, I was just going to sleep, but took the guitar and played a couple of tones.. and imagined how it could sound with an echo. So I couldn't resist and recorded a bit, adjusted an echo properly and jam for a minute or two. Zap! I just had to do the recording right away. So there it is! :D
