Well, Kai and Gerda have returned home, all wonderful and all that. And who would think of the poor Snow Queen? After all, she, too, is experiencing her own way. She was left alone in his ice palace, and quietly weeping. She has come to eternity. She wins.
This is about the free spirit soaring high above the seas, forests, cities and times.
~There is no dark side in the moon, really. As a matter of fact it's all dark~
I almost do not use midi - it is boring and requires programming (even if it's one of my majors), which in the live music has no place. I record analog signal directly into the LogicPro (with Apogee/Mackie) and then work with pieces in Logic like the score, with layers and structures and inserts and...
most beautiful,, the soft moments of tension set amidst the gentle flow of note and silence is exquisite,,,, on another note, acoustic or midi? the reverb of the base strings is really amazing,, sensual even,,, what are those squeaks in the into and end midi sounds or the creaking of the bench,,, a very rich and full piece Richard
Reg has left re-hab but now he has to fill those sober hours with something, so he has taken to people watching, but like everything in his life he has become addicted to it, listening in on there private conversation as he follows them, watching…

Hi Rich, I have no special knowledge of the type "I was on a sound technician, " or something like that. I, however, since childhood (and still) listen to a lot of music, different kind of. And so when working on the next compositions I'm usually already know what I want to get (or, I think I know:-). Knowing this, I pick the appropriate instruments, tools and software. Details, if you really want, by email.
This song was inspired from all the snowstorms we have been having this winter, another on the way tonight.....I decided to prog it out for this one....prog-rock.....lets bring it back.
An unusual traditional tune from the first Scartaglen album way back in 1984. Going through stuff the other day and ran across the LP and couldn't even remember the tune or having recorded it. I played guitar on this track

The circus is leaving, for good. Adults are happy (oh, at last they were gone!). Children are unhappy (there was a lion and clown, acrobats and candy and ... all that!). Ahh...

My first attempt at a Blumlein or Mid/Side recording. This one is actually a mid/side recording as I used a directional mic in combo with a figure 8 ribbon mic set at 90 degrees from the main mic. Thanks to Pat Broaders for the loan of the ribbon…
