I got a call from Russell
He had to move his Junk
He'd filled his car
He'd filled his trunk
Big black bags of Something
I said, "What's with these?"
He said…
Cheaper to buy washed clothes at the thrifty store than to wash his clothes?
Surely they have caught on by the third or fourth time he trades his clothes?
Love the short, to the point, songs you write.

LOVE this. I first listened while finishing work earlier, back then I mainly noticed your signature lush backing vocals on the chorus (bit loud on this one maybe?). But when I listened again in comfort, able to concentrate... woah, gorgeous song.

I guess I forgot to hit 'post comment'. What I said was...WOW! I love this song! I love the hesitation after down for shelter/echoes of the pictures/where you are...I love the chordings and the harmonies. Seriously, I love this song!!
I don't think I've ever heard you with this tempo. Everything is right-on! Did you do all the parts as you usually do? If so, I didn't know you played electric lead like that & the organ so so well!! My ears thank you. Thanks.
The drum and keys track was on a CD sent to me and composed and performed by a friend, Don Landry. Instantly I wanted to put voices with it, so I did. Don likes it. Mission accomplished.

I sort of slowed down a bit weekend before last and listened to and enjoyed “My New Shorts”. On first listen I was particularly struck by Room at the End of the Hall (love that one!), Fireflies (thoughtful), Cattails and Butterflies, Broken Cookies and Day Old Bread, and Everyone I Need to Talk To. Well done!

This one is really nice! I downloaded it so I can listen a lot more. The guitar part fits perfectly. Your voice is so distinctive -- Leslie was playing the song on her phone and I recognized your voice instantly. (I think it was the first note you sang that gave it away!) You are amazingly talented and I continue to be impressed by your knack for writing thoughtful lyrics and for your incredible output of great songs.
