Andrew Russe (86.155.32.98) said Thursday Short but very sweet... These short ones encourage me to add all sorts of extra meaning myself as I'm listening. That's kinda what happens when we listen to songs anyway - no matter how much the lyrics are designed to lead us to certain conclusions or "points of view"... a song never really says what the songwriter thinks it says ... but these short ones encourage this "listener completes the song" process even more, they let my mind run free ... love it.

:) I wondered if that was the case - but then the "oh here's some words, whatever, at least they rhyme" often speak the loudest to the listeners! ... It's just gone 8am here. Have you made an effort to be in touch with the film makers in your part of the world? Your state probably has a film comission. If you haven't already, I suggest you do and then begin to find about what is in the works in your state and offer to submit music to the college and independent film makers.

Listening to this I see icicles melting as the sun comes up and the melted water flows into the gutter and then into the storm drain.....cars pass by and people run to the bus stop. Watch the passing storefronts as the town wakes up. Very evocative.
