If I could play the fiddle, I’ll tell you what I’d do
I’d believe in what you say and I’d believe in you
But I can’t play the fiddle no matter how many I try
Since I was in the third grade and as the years go by…

But I can play ny guitar and that will have to do
When I’m singing for myself and when I sing for you
But I still play my fiddler just to find it’s true
