MESSAGE ON A TREE 040915_a - CIRCLE OF NO REGRETS
James Michael Taylor
A Facebook Friend posted a picture of a
sign hanging on a tree that had the words
to the first verse. I couldn’t leave well
enough alone…I Googled the verse and
found it was written by Dallas Clayton.
MESSAGE ON A TREE
“She blew a kiss. It missed my face
It drifted into outer space
And kissed the sun and made it smile
And now it’s been bright for a while…” Dallas Clayton
She touched my hand and reached my heart
And all my fences fell apart
And in her eye the mirrored sky
Said where there’s artists there is art

Message on a tree
She waved good-bye and caught the wind
I reached out and breathed her in
She disappeared, but she is here
And now, to quit is to begin…

A marvellous opening line. Grabs the attention. Lovely song.
