tidings of wonder and joy indeed!! your music brings smile to the heart,,,merry Christmas to you and the planet Texas,, used to live there myself once upon a time,,, r
I've enjoyed your work too - though mostly via Sound-In - Alonetone... I've found less and less time for AT as I've been getting more active in the microtonal community. However, Sound-In... I wait for every week :-)
Noodling with the "art guitar" in DADGAD tuning in the Serra sculpture Vortex at the FW MOMA. No fx added, all natural reverb/delay inside the structure.

After digging this tune up really I really wanted to try it again on acoustic (which I don't play much). This is a second take recorded in…
Solo acoustic finger picking thing I've been working on for a while. Sometime around 1968 I started studying with Mr. George Bennett who taught me the rudiments of finger picking. Later when we played some gigs together he also taught me the rudiments…

Written in 1982 after a trip to Wyoming with a couple of Alex DeGrassi cassettes....
Another experiment. The name comes from the fact that I was in the woods; not because I was really concerned about making woodsy sounds...
Thanks again to glu and Chris McGrath for opening my eyes to some different Live tricks...
A reverse take (recorded live at a gig) of a couple of Pink Floyd covers. The amazing Bill Pohl on 2nd guitar. It came out sounding strangely symphonic.
@ Sister: Due to technical issues I would have to post the entire song file, which would be posting cover tunes, which I don't want to do here...trust me, the reversed, edited versions sound better!
Brief musical sketch, to be transformed into a teary-eyed country weeper.
Instrumentation:
1 Dobro Resonator Guitar, played on both sides of a slide.
[If you give a page a dobro ...]
This track started off with an idea. The idea was an instrument setup such that I could play a single note, or octave and have arps and stuff built it up...
I failed in that experiment by getting carried down the add more effects road and before…
Ambient guitar with generous reverb served up on a bed of glitched up vocal samples.
Boring technical details:
Puremagnetik voxbox micropak came with a bunch of vocal clips. I put them all into live and gave them all follow actions to play…
Two jigs I wrote after returning from Ireland. Sorry for the horrid splice between the two tunes...I'll fix that when I get a chance. Penny whistle, mandolin, acoustic guitar.

This is really nice. I love the vocal harmonies and the slide too.
This is a beautiful medley!

Merry Christmas! w;-)

Here's the playlist, didn't appear on the front page..? http://alonetone.com/kavin/playlists/psychedelacoustic-vol-8
I miss the dome. Those five years in Houston were good ones.
Sweet slide work! Harmonies reminded me of the Dead. Felt like rollin' a- never mind!
Hooray for unscripted!
Very cool! These are inspiring me to go back and explore DADGAD again
Great playing mate. Excellent.
.... great
Beautiful playing got me in the first few seconds ...what a beautiful lunch time song on this beautiful clear sunny day in Yorkshire..thanks
With a Ho! Ho! Ho !...love it
Perfect combination of words, voice and ambient sounds.
I like it. I want a Funky Christmas for being good!
This is what I like ........... right here...........Superb

Love hearing the two versions back to back, but I favor the acoustic side I think.
So good. Saw Tommy Emmanuel the other night, and he played some great mellow fingerpicking like this, great to hear it!
Guitar wonderment. Proof positive one doesn't have to be fast or flashy to be a guitar wizard. Like the extended length also.
Very good. I get a jungle feel more than forest, because it has a vaguely tribal beat. Check out my tune with the same title.

I'm cryin' already. Inventive little tone poem!
Amen ta that! I hear some Ray Davies in there. Cool!
Short and sweet!
=!&0000))))
Bravo Eno!
Yes! More ebow!
Sonic Mood is a cool program and I like what you did with it!
Love it! Bluegrass with a British accent! Oh that's right, Americans are the ones with the accent.
I DO like it, but then I go for these kinds of guitar oddities. "Talent enhancer"? I want one of those.
Killer! A nice acoustic ride!
Hey Rick! Where you been? These tracks sound great! Drop me a line when you can!
Like the loose feel of this one!
Makes me thirsty for a blackntan!
You got daughter Brit singing this! (cough!)
I love this whole album. Hope you and yer bass are feeling better Rick!
