Forever - A A J Russe
I can see you on your rocking horse now
The one that turned around and kicked you in the teeth
He thought you’d always live forever
Well Merlin waited in the mist to kiss you
Surprised to find how you got hurt
So much blood
Still he thought you’d live forever
It doesn’t matter how we cannot hold on
We still don’t know how much to try
We still don’t know how long to wait
Forever
I hear you’re drinking at the chocolate fountain
You pulled the handle off the door
But they won’t mind
They’ll be mending it forever
They won’t mind
They’ll be mending it forever
Are you watching now across this table
It’s not a table that you knew
But it would do
If you have to watch forever
My heart was broken when the last girl found it
But she is equal to the task
She sends her love
And says your memory lives forever
She does not mind
That your memory lives forever
It doesn’t matter how we cannot hold on
We still don’t know how much to try
We still don’t know how long to wait
Forever
It doesn’t matter that we cannot let go
We still don’t know how much to cry
We still don’t know how long to wait
To say goodbye
Forever

Rats on the long message! I just figured it out… it was bleeped away when one song ended and the next popped up mid typing by me. All hail Taylor Swift!!! I hope you and yours are doing okay during these crazy times.
Aww brilliant, the rabbit hole is a comfortable place to be. I see you have visited here often.
beautiful lyrics “ my heart was broken when the last girl found it” ... love the backer bouncing along nicely ... Loved your phrasing... did I say I loved it ... downloaded and saved ......forever
Incredible vocals. The song reminds me of something that would heard in a Tim Burton movie.
Unique with a few fun twists like “we still don’t know how long to wait .... forever”. Love it
Hey man - first i want to thank you for listening and commenting on our stuff - i am guilty of not spending much time on the Atone - anyway - this track is killer man! The melody is playful yet the lyrics seem a bit sarcastic, kinda intense. Love your voice too
Precision! Restraint! The clarity and deliberateness of this production leaves me grasping for words. It's like you created it within a straight jacket.
