I Know (We'll Get By)
Keith Landry
Well, here’s a quick stripped-down version of a song that I wrote a couple of weeks ago and needed to record just to get it out of my head… Also my first crack at harmonizing with myself (kinda cool, but a bit weird for me to hear me singing along with me).
…I hope everyone joins in at “Come on sing it with me!”
I know we’ll get by
I will do or die
With just you and I
Some would say that I’m a poor man
Living down below
But they don’t know I get to go
Into your loving arms every night
I could stay here till the morning light
Looking in your eyes so clear and bright
We don’t have much, just the sand beneath our feet
The water in the ocean miles deep
And all the time to sing ourselves to sleep
I know we’ll get by
I will do or die
With just you and I
I’ll never be a rich man, but that’s just fine
People call me crazy, but I don’t mind
I’ll take this kind of crazy any time
We don’t have much, just the sand beneath our feet
The water in the ocean miles deep
And all the time to sing ourselves to sleep
I know we’ll get by
I will do or die
With just you and I
Glad I had good timing! Ha! Eh, the vocals are way off and hard to hear, I'll give it another run for the finished product. I got to into the guitar riff and had a hard time staying still to sing.
Enjoying the harmonies. Looking forward to hearing your new album.
Hey, thanks gang! Yeah, this next album might be a bit too happy and way too catchy.
Oh you just reduced me to tears! That's lovely Keith, love it!
Lovely stuff. Uplifting and merry!
Good harmonies my friend. It's fun to harmonize with yourself once you get used to recording it. You can bring depth into the singing. Even though your singing sounds just fine without it. Yes....teleport to this lake now with your acoustic, John and Norm...wicked campfire jam we could get going.
