If I'm not mistaken, 'Resurgam' is Latin for I will rise again. (Incidentally, it is also the title of a very compelling piece of music by the British brass band composer Eric Ball.)
I dedicate this too to Dr. David Ingram, the truly wonderful…
I can see three drunk people stumbling home after a long night at a smoke filled, dimly lit bar. Puddles of rain in the street...trying to hold each other up as they make their way home.
Nice work.

Another remixfight remix: I gave Admiral Bob's reggae tune "Evolution of my Heart" a thorough reshaping. Dark dubby tech house, skittery drums, fog of echos, throbbing shadows.

From my first album of beats, "Tompkins Count Organic", this song samples the banjo and voice of Frank Profitt, from an old Folkways recording. Also sampled is a composition of mine for violin, played by Rolf Schulte.
Shaken, not stirred please.
Experimenting more with sandbags' Elysium. This time I used it to trigger elephant samples for part of the percussion section.
From 2006 or 2007. One of the first (and one of just a few) pieces I wrote using Reason. I was definitely listening to Patrick O'Hearne at the time...might have to buy some real piano samples.
Lyrics:
Caged as a bird
free will is such a bitch
it's your responsibility to stay alive
pay the bills etc, etc
but how you enslave yourself
whether or not you enslave yourself
it's up to you
this is pretty ruff, but i don't see myself rerecording it anytime soon plus i can't find the lyrics and i'm too lazy to write them down ... anyways. i guess its just a bunch of thoughts about God, a little dramatic. enjoy!
Just a spontaneous (and very rough) two hour tune. Written and recorded yesterday, edited and mixed today. I might as well get it uploaded now because I'll be spending the next two weeks preparing to move across the country.
Lyrics:
We…
For my friend and coworker, because he certainly deserves it.
