I bought myself a bass, and was unhappy with the amount of hum it generated....so I decided to hide it under buckets of distortion in this pre-punk throwback.
Sorry, that last comment was from me, forgot to sign in, d'oh!
Loving the concept, loving the result! Were the vocals laid down on the iphone too? Was it mixed on the iphone? All impressive anyway. :)
Despite your adversarial attitude towards robots, I enjoyed this tune a lot. Let the record show that I, for one, welcome my eventual robot overlords and will refuse to fight them unless they instruct me to do so in order to amuse other robots.
This song is about the RPM Challenge; having 28 days (yes, I cheated, this year we get 29) to write and record a 10 song album. The illustrious Ghost Tea (http://soundcloud.com/ghosttea) added some rhymes to make it extra special!
On first blush I got a Napoleon Dynamite vibe because of the keys. But it's way cooler than that. Awesome vocals, drums and keys. A head bobber for sure. Easily one of the best RPM songs about RPM. Oh, and those rap sections -- hell yeah!!
Love your vocal. Can't put my finger on who you sound like and it's driving me crazy! Great drums and great keyboard driven songs. Track three and so far a VERY listenable album.

Great vibe on this one from the get-go. Sometimes stating the plain truth is quite simply the best way to write a song. Every word perfectly delivering the honesty of the artist.
First rate track. I may need to learn to play this one... Although whatever I come up with acoustically could never hold a candle to this outstanding track.

Are you…
Don't really remember the story for this...written smack dab in the middle of Feb in RPM madness...it happenened, then I moved on and I let go of it...Mike Novak on egg...another song where I waited for a drummer friend to show up that never did...
"You gotta put your pencil to the paper. Don't bother with the intricate chords. Hell it doesn't matter if the damned thing doesn't rhyme. Write it down. Run it through. Make some noise." These were actually the first words I wrote when…
Nice, thanks for pointing me to this! Love introspective/recursive songwriting. Love the reference to 29 days this year...I played the artistic license on calling my 2012 track "28 Days"

Nice!
Al Jourgensen on vacation.sounds good to me
I'm really digging this -- the vocals play nicely with the subdued instrumentation. (Cool concept too.)

Simple and propulsive. A wonderful combination.

"And if it leads to pain, then it leads to pain." Great take on setting out on the RPM warpath.
Great RPM album! Refreshing, very cool songs, and the arrangements are crazy great - kind of like classic folk meets The Doors, meets Duran Duran.
This is a favourite of mine. I just love the headiness - dreamy with a kicking synth line, and the vocals are fabulously oceanic.
Something very cool and refreshing in your music - I'm really enjoying this album.
Wow, digging those keys!
You need to learn to accept robots... oh wait, just read ahead on the playlist, maybe things turn out OK :-)
Groovy!

Woah, beautiful!
Chunky!
Nice. I've used a nylon string guitar as a bass before. Shhh, don't tell
Love this track. I kept waiting for a bass to kick in, though.
Woohoo, this is my anthem! Well, except for expecting my software to fix things. Nobody's made a "suck less" ap for iPhone mastering.
I am so in love with the guitar/organ combo. Lovely track.

Love the guitar sound
