Overlapping noise-based drones playing time & tone shifted noise tracks ,often dozens of copies of a single source, off and against each other to create beat frequency throbs, overlapping rhythms and near chords.

It is. This was written during my stay as an exchange student in the U.S. from 1997-1998. Probably while on break in the school library. Yes, I had Impulse Tracker installed on a computer in the school library. I was a real charmer.

Music for the credits of a film called "High Lonesome" by Andrew Hulse. I originally wrote this for guitar, viola, and double bass. In this new version, the lead melody is played by my wife on clarinet.
