long ago when there was a "guitar electric" in my presence I recorded this and edited it in cubase, back when I used cubase, old and somehow interesting?
consider this a microcosm of the final work that might just happen ,, yes a complete Klingon Orchestrated Opera :) (feeling shameful that it was Chris's idea first.) (this is a mire raw example of an outproduced work.>
well - actually - there *was* a Klingon opera which is where I got the title. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E2%80%99u%E2%80%99
and this Klingon band is interesting...

this is a mono/nonstereo track because my fourtrack recorded decided that mono is better then stereo but at least the dang thing works ,, I guess,, From now on it is direct records from the outside machine to the computer not thru the fourtrack…
if you use something as a midi controller there are a few VSTi software microtonal synthesizers that are free which makes it easier. Savihost - and other VSTi hosting software let you play microtonally - all you have to keep track of is how the extra (or less) notes translate to the normal keyboard.
This piece is crazy! How'd you do the drums?
As for mono/stereo - what you need is either a Y-cable with 1/4 male to 1/8 stereo (or collection of pieces that do that)
If you are still using Sonar I guess its lets of an issue - just record multiple tracks.
As she leaped into the crater and then falling for what took forever she ended in full possession of a controlled psychosis and she was rapidly loosing any kind of control to the silver pearls in a perilous discombobulated series of metapsionic…

here the microkorg is the "lead" while the supernova II does the "undertones" I am trying to sync the two in post producion ,,, some of the stuff from yesterday is sync but I used buzz modular synthesis to do that.
very similar to the 'more of this a' but part 2
btw the video for todays' computer music work is getting uploaded now. all 25 min 25 sec and 25 frames there of.
When I was young we lived opposite a big play area - lots of grass and trees and bushes to rampage around - and in the middle a tarmac playground with the "amusements" - a witches hat (aka umbrella), a long rocking horse with saddles along its…
Duet piece recorded between a Eurorack modular synthesizer I built and a Behringer Model D (minimoog clone). Tons of reverb and delay for added effect.
great!! --- I like this so mellow and well mixed --- one of the curves of guitar changes.. reminds me of that early rolling stones songs "No Expectations" from "let it bleed" --- you probably can hear it too?
First of three pieces made from the same original material; short bursts of sound from a cheap harmonica. Nine of these bursts were selected from the original recording, each of slightly different length. Each was then time-stretched by the same…
cool experiment the stretching and time resolution are really important to the final sound the echoes seem separate from other things --- was thinking there should be no null points --- because of the echoes going on-- how does the interactions work?
Roland SE-02 through EHX Stereo Memory Man -> Zoom RFX-300. Title comes from a combination of the time length, and the fact that it was created for the current Sound-In for 1-7/1/2021.
Excellent greatness.. It is a song that brings me back to the effects in phase and out of phase blips and bliggies .. It's the squibbly bliggies that started to loose the phases that were happening when I knew a Roland was grooving... This reminds me of how I make sounds as well. Minute 10:35 it's like birds. At about 13 minutes in the aliens seem to check in..and then leave but returned at 14 minutes in.. Chipmunks at 17 minutes in are neat maybe more of that?? It's phasing in & out as it does all the way to the end.
excellent -- way out excellence --- I will have to adjust my temporal transvergence devices to new settings.. and allow these breaking rays of temporal light frequencies to be registered by them.
vocal, two 17 equal electric guitars, faux 17 edo bass, melodyne retuned 17 equal classical guitar, Alesis Nitro Mesh drums. and the usual effects and manipulations.
Exactly what are we ending like this?? It's a very tight performance you have created.. What seems good in both forward and reverse directions and safe at any bpm we can think of. I am hearing that mesmerizing sonic swirl going on.---ฯ§¥~~ is that a setting on one of the boxes being used???
Comments on Newbold's stuff
that is one effected guitar!!
very strange!

gets pen ready to outline the opera's conceptual structures in skeleton form. yes pen is better then computer keyboard sometimes ,, don't know why.
I like it..why not he whole 'Klingon Orchestrated Opera'?
I have that problem from time to time the wave form is there it just does not work ,,, a few days ago it happened to a whole song of mine really upset me because I liked the sounds I had made..
Interesting stuff, but dead space after 22 min. so I left.
Cool, it's like an alien attack from an old sci-fi movie.
Nice one !!
nice tones!
It is good to get this out to the web finally :)

I'm finding this extremely eerie and disturbing!
Different sounds? i like this side....woha! You nailed it!
it sounds like it is descending and descending, but at the same time not moving at all. very freaky!
Absolutely!! I'm not good with videos....u would do more justice then me on the video:)
"buzz modular synthesis"- have no idea what that is, but sounds cool!
extreme caffeine rush

I watched the whole video - I take it what was happening is that you layered video of you layering the sound? Very disorientating and interesting.

Good stuff.
really great voice voice control --- this is wonderful I like it.
yeah just ;o like that ... it is these dynamics that are so intense and consuming of all my feelings in the music.
about minute 8 some rad changes going on then back to the sweet bells--
the underlying sound at minute 11 intense -- just on and on-- like that -- very real
great ness ---just real so very real intenseness---
these loops are great --- now I want to make the thumbjam go-- :)
it is a type of struk-ness that is contagious maybe-??
