Cherry Pie with Greg Conner

This is a fun idea Greg has, and I can’t wait to hear more.
He sent me an acoustic and vocal track and asked me to complete it.
I stayed up most of the night jammin’ it. :)
It’s a bit loose around the edges because I didn’t work anything out.
I think it has a nice, live, southern bar room feel to it.

Enjoy Cherry Pie!

Simple pleasures I have found
Usually the best around
Take a walk in morning light
Watch the moon and stars all night
I tell you there’s no better treat
Something that I love to eat
Cherry pie’s the best darn thing
Smile is what it seems to brings
When the apple of my eye
Brings a slice of cherry pie
Ice cream dripping around
Cherry pie’s the best I found
When she’s sitting next to me
Trading spoons of ecstasy
Makes me feel so darn good
Eat it every day if I could
Simple pleasures I have found
Cherry Pie’s the best around
Ice cream dripping over me
One more piece if you please

Thanks Greg. Much appreciated man.
I had a blast with this tune.

Great job! A full, rich sound. Nice guitar work. Especially love the vocal harmony. you're a smart choice to collaborate with -- you really know what you're doing.

Love it! Great instrumentation, and the occassional harmony makes it sparkle. *Added to the Playlist:* http://alonetone.com/connor/playlists/cherry-pie
