Began with the drum beat, added some guitar sounds, messed about with Revitar 2 and put them on top of the drums, did some experimenting with the lyrics, I looked up all the strains of weed and made a list of their names and made the song out…

The Surreal Age of the Naked Lemon

I'm not really sure how this came about, I borrowed some lyrics from Angie Fights Crime and added a reggae sound and a remix to "The Surreal Age of the Naked Lemon" which I'm doing for the Rmp challenge and this sort of popped out ...

Traditional song with an electronic arrangement. I don't have autotune so some of the notes are a bit wobbly sometimes. I rewrote the lyrics because I don't know the original verses.

I've now done 2 for the Rpm challenge but these were the easy ones.
Too much rubbish (in the pockets of our lives)
Spend half your life waiting for a train
Now you get to thinking that you should have caught the bus
So your waiting at the station…
Oh thanks, that's nice of you to put it on your Facebook. I don't have one of those but Tess does.
The music was written for the ballet Scheherazade.
But I believe the legend, she was a real person although it has been romanticised somewhat!
Thank you for your kindness!
Cheers Bethan

Ooo, unusual topic. I like your voice and the music is perky and hopeful which works really well alongside the nature of your lyric. The decision is made and you are happy with it! Nice!!
Act 1 Scene 3 - A Night on the Town, a glimpse into Fool's social life which is ... going round to his mates and getting stoned, going to the pub and the disco in an attempt to get a girl, which he manages to do in the last song.
gonna listen to the rest later, but this album is really, really, really cool. It's like a mixture of everything I like, and yet sounds like none of them.
Act 2 Scene 2 - The Gig - Fool and his friend Hotdog go to see The Seven Spiders in concert but there is a really heavy atmosphere and the bouncers are being aggresive ... they leave before the end and walk home together, the conversation turns…
Act 1 Scene 1 The Disco - this is music from my musical, the opening scene which is set in a disco (nightclub - if you are under 40!!). It explores the different perceptions of the club in a pseudo-political and economic view. Mr Evol - the…
Part Of Kitchen Sink, the RPM 2012 album for AMUC.
I was planning to write a love song, but .. it didn't quite come out that way.
3/11/12 - I re-recorded the first verse with better-sounding vocals. I'm leaving the version on the RPM Jukebox…
hid my phone in the room where my 3 year old was playing and caught some audio- in it at one point he exclaims "obey the man!"... the "man" he was referring to was actually batman but I thought it would make a really funny reggae line- even if…
this was a little audio scrap book of some of our youngest sons favorite knock knock jokes enhanced with some tastey harmonized guitar... a family favorite
Part Of Kitchen Sink, the RPM 2012 album for AMUC.
It started out as a tribute to the old sci-fi movie, "The Quiet Earth", and became something else.

Don't know what to say about this. I fell out with God a while back, and still find the whole notion of a God pretty disturbing. So this song is something about how I relate to God now. No peace and unconditional love - more an insidious sense…
Back in 2006 I did an entire album of spoken word, or pseudo-rapping, whichever you like to call it... Stylistically it's very much inspired by Beck's album, The Information...
Growing up in Ohio we used to see the signs the hoboes left on trees and mailboxes. Bits of ribbons and cloth-signifying friendly,and-cold hearted bastards who'd sic the dogs on you.
Maybe I missed a career scoring for no budget spaghetti westerns, because this is what this reminds me of. Done live a couple weeks ago with the Taylor and a floor full of toys and loopers.
This is from my 2007 album, 'Elbow Rhumba...' and explains how I feel about politics...
(Chorus lyric: O! Say, does that Star Spangled Banner wave goodbye, when the Altered States of America come down from on high...)
This one features a backwards sample of one of my older songs, something I've been meaning to try for a while now.

Some very nice bits in this, it sounds very 1970's to me (that's a good thing {I'm an old git}) :)
