Written by Mariah Carey & Walter Afanasieff, I think that this is one of the last great modern Christmas songs. I usually recycle a previous Christmas cover for the b-side, but I though I'd do a little acoustic version of this instead. It…

My 2013 Christmas single! A bluesy reading of 'Santa Baby', written by Joan Javits, Philip Springer and Tony Springer in the early 1950s.
I haven't changed the gender. That would be silly.

A cover of the Laura Veirs song 'Jailhouse Fire', which originally appeared on her excellent album ' The Triumphs & Travails Of Orphan Mae'. I recorded this in 2008, around the time I started demoing songs for what became 'The Anxiety Bomb'.

An old favourite from a record I called 'The Great Erotic Novel'. I've put a new vocal on it (a bit loud I think now), at some point I'll do a fresh mix/master of the whole record.

Excellent cover of Santa Baby Rog!
Originally from North-East England, I’ve spent the last 10 years or so living in Manchester. I’ve played in a few bands over the years and I’ve just started singing in a new one, Vanity Pages. However, this page is for my own multi-track stuff. I try and make an album every year or so and I’d love you to have a listen! Cheers.
