Lyrics by Brian McCloskey in somewhat of a suprise collab. Musically a kind of feel-good soul-pop. I quite like how this turned out, and nominated it my prefered RPM-track this year. New version uploaded 12 Dec 2010.

Lyrics influenced by a conversation with a friend whose daughter was in a really bad way. Kind of set the mood for large parts of the challenge for me this year. New version uploaded 12 Dec 2010.

Ha.. slowed down a punk song I wrote and added some anthem synth line for a indie rock feel I guess.

Started with three blind mice clav bassline. Added RS9 strings, vocoder. same strange loops...

Started with a little guitar riff on the archtop, Played roland rs9 string synth through tremolo amp. Also has my tenor steel pan played live.

Archtop, electric guitar. No vocoder.. Not so sure on my voice for this one as I had a cold for pretty much the whole month of Feb.. Also think I put too much over all "warm plate" reverb on every track (that was a last minute RPM deadline decision)

This is the one song I actually "wrote" ahead of time for the RPM Challenge.

When I visited London I really liked the food, especially the breakfasts.

I bought an MXR Bass d.i.+ and I really like it, which is why there's so much bass on this album.

I keep writing songs about communism, for some reason. I thought it was slightly amusing to discover that Mashino actually IS an industrial town. Sounds like "Machine". Get it? Get it??

A filler track, obviously. Also, I got a cowbell for Christmas...

Of course the last song is about my hometown.
