A Really Bad Day
Finally something faster than a funeral march! 121 beats per minute, for the win!
I use this gimmick way too much but I do have fun with it. The bass guitar part on this song an eight bar loop and it never changes from start to finish (with the exception of the quick little key change).
I have to admit that I kinda like this one. The mix is a bit of a mess. Anytime you use a fuzz pedal on a guitar it turns everything into an adventure. Strangely, while I don’t really care for the vocals, the lyrics and the melody are working for me. That’s pretty rare.
The cleanish rhythm guitar in the verses is a Gibson ES-335 into a Ryra The Klone into a Fender Bassbreaker 15. The heavy parts added a Wren and Cuff Super Russian after the Ryra. The lead is the same guitar and the same amp but the pedals are a Klon KTR into a Keeley D&M Drive (just the Dan side).

you know that you can see what the future brings
they say it goes that way when you pull the strings
I feel it comes along with the territory wind the spring
Verse 2
Its where the devil lives
details buried inside darkness never gives
away its thoughts and finds where the meaning is
under the secrets hidden in places that are just his
