Midnight Goodnight

A couple of notes: First, I am so tired as I finish up this mix that I have no idea if this sounds good or not. Second, I am not sure if I like this song or not, but I am kinda leaning toward liking it. Third, I am pretty sure I already wrote this song back in February.

The lyrics were supposed to be gibberish. Just random words that fit the melody. Strangely it still seems to fit the “quarantines suck” vibe of most of the songs from this month.

The lead guitars were recorded immediately after listening to Cream’s Disraeli Gears all the way through. Hence the “Woman Tone”.

Leads are Les Paul, rhythm are SG, both use the Keeley D&M Drive into a Fender Bassbreaker 15.

Chorus
star light moon light
darkness closing in
mid night good night
where do we begin
no time like right now
star light moon light
no use fighting it

verse 1
I know now is the time
Today is the day

break 1
when the dawn never comes around
its the day when the night won’t end

verse 2
give us one day to see
if we can change it all
