Written and recorded as part of our family RPM project this year. :-D
13 year old Jasmine on vocals and ukulele.
We wrote and recorded 10 songs under the name Cattica. It was just the best month of lockdown imaginable.
With lovely Keith Landry. Unfortunately, the studio I had at the time was on its last legs and the recording is a terrible quality, but I've never been able to get the vocal to sound better. Probably because I'm now over the awful thing* I did…

I love hearing these songs from previous RPM years. This one is really amazing. The backing music so perfectly done to match your beautiful and haunting vocals. Wow!

An ironic title (and to a large extent the upbeat feel of the melody) as life was not aligned with joyful calm when I wrote it. However, I'm proud of this; it's not complicated and doesn't overstay its welcome. First of my songs to feature AI piano!
An experiment with Damage 2. It was going to be part of a larger album but didn't make the cut. It's a song about the subtle experiences we all have and somehow connect with each other in one way or another. The song is more about that connection…
Wonderful to have you back on alonetone - and hear new stuff from you.
This is beautiful - I love the way you change the feeling up throughout, and those are absolutely stunning vocals...damn.
Another song that never made the cut on a recent album, but I plan on finishing it later. Drums were written by a friend of mine after I gave him a very rough drum idea.
Great to hear this one again! I'm (still) working on an album with the brilliant JST - he's just ridiculously good at everything. :) But so long as he's doing it on the same album as me, I'm okay with it.
Tworegs visited and we couldn't help but get at least one colaboration song done in the studio. I wish we would have had time to get some other songs he wrote in SF recorded in my studio but I was out of town during part of his stay, and to be…
Ahh like a lovely cup of tea. I was thrilled to bits when you also signed up this year, and although I failed miserably, you knocked it out of the park...again. Thanks for giving me more breezy music to laugh at the world by. Next year, let's do it again. Any physical CDs this year??
Brilliant song - and you make it all sound so effortless. Fresh, cool, quirky (I'm told by my teenage daughters that "quirky" no longer means what I think it means, but they're wrong), just g-o-o-d m-u-s-i-c.
RPM 2024 track 7
A good friend of mine has a Samoyed. This is a song about him.
I was hoping for a kiiind of Cheap Suit Serenaders feel. Acoustic guitar, a 1920s tenor banjo and a brand new mandolin.
This gets a strange emotional reaction from me because I can't imagine you to be anything other than mischievous and irrepressible. But...this is Americana Tango...and I love both. Weirdly though, this takes me to the leafy walkways of Rome and now I want a cappuccino and to send you flowers.
Dean Martin probably wants to record this. I can hear a version with the Hollywood treatment in my head. But this is cooler. You infuse fresh air in everything you record.
Smiling in the first few seconds. This is the Gumbo I love. Lies and Tales is one of my absolute favourites RPM albums of all time, so the bar is pretty high - but this is toe tapping classic Gumbo awesomeness. Yep yip.
Comments on Sister Savage's stuff
Great tune! Love it ❤️
I think the recording has a haunting authenticity to it - it wouldn't sound the same with crispy production. Gorgeous song 🤗
Heard this on friday as a guest nice nice...Your voice always wonders for me...beautiful as always.
Old school SV:) faved:)

Gorgeous
I've just clicked who you remind me of ..... Julia Fordham ......
That is just ...... STUNNING ....
Boy, does that do it for me ...
Ooo fretless bass!
This is lovely 😊
Beautiful Tess. Beautiful vocals too. Loving the backing vocals too x
Lovely track! Enjoyed the uke and the lovely vocals and lyrics.
HAH I NOW FIND I AM A 3 GENERATION FAN...........FREE AND UN COMPLICATED SWINGY GOODNESS
Super catchy and a wonderful voice!
Super charming and cute new sounds for the family :)
This is so sweet and beautiful! Sounds like you had a dream family month.
Well that blew my socks off! I hope your other nine songs aren't as cool, otherwise I'm going to get very cold feet :)
She is just super cool!
Great job Jasmine! 👏

AI piano..? That should be depressing but it's a pretty nice flavour - lovely breezy feel on this beautiful day.

Class.
"Didn't make the cut"...you're hilarious. This is brilliant. I love the dizzying synth line.

Dreamy...drifting away on vaisvil clouds... Sounds like flowers opening.
Fun breezy collab!
Liking the moodiness here! But where have all your other tracks gone, Johnno?! Good to hear from you. Hope you're well and happy.
Still love.

Moody, Wolfy, Sliiick. (Album opener vibes, imho)

Absolute classic Gumbo. Light and breezy, but with a bittersweet (dark even) undertone...how do you do that!?
Super sweet! Love the mandolin and you definitely achieved the feeling you were aiming for. *googles Samoyed*
Oooh yes!! Sultry! Rhythmic! Loving all the layers, all the twists and turns.
Oof yeah, more tango! Lovely harmonies and dreamy guitar.
Mischievous and irrepressible. The prosecution rests.
