So I moved to North Carolina to be closer to family and it's been a good experience. However it was tough to leave some people behind. This song is about that.
BTW, there is a riff about 8 minutes in written by my buddy Chris Schugg
LYRICS…
Like the riffs....just not crazy about the mono-ish mix. Cool vox. At 1:00 in, the riff is a little sloppy sounding, mostly due to the drums not interlocking with the bass and guitars. Kind of reminds me a little bit of Helmet, during the Betty era.

I was depressed at my caliber of friends when I had a drug problem. This was the result.
LYRICS:
Most my friends are embryonic
Most my friends are hooked on phonics
Most my friends stick to the comics page
Most my friends are disillusioned…
I wanted to do a country song for my brother Mike, but I really don't know much about country music. This is the result.
Hope you like it, Mike.
LYRICS:
Ain't got no woman
Ain't got no car
All I got is bills
and a half assed will…

This song is pretty much how I feel on most days . . .

Send in the tide
Breath aches

I need a bride
Anointed knight

I like to jam with my buddy Chris, but he gets tired after just a few songs. One day, on his way out the door I started playing this (the original chorus was: Chris is pussin out, he is going home . . .)

Kinda rough. I'm uploading this mainly to share a guitar technique I've been working on. I'm wearing a slide on my picking hand and using it to alter pitches in single line phrases. There's a lot more can be done with this technique that I've…
Track #13 of the "Someone Else's Hell" album
Lyrics:
When the rain falls, we fall too
dust blows our ash to wind
Our lives are here, not so high
as our hopes to die free
Accolades are, never so
great as we could aspire
when we leave…
Track #2 of the "Someone Else's Hell" album.
Lyrics:
somebody else's hell shines through
dishonesty will break us all
how long can the walls last
the unclean masses wonder
i'm standing here with them
how long until...
//someone else's hell…
Straight ahead stone city electric blues for an old friend who used to spend hours spinning BB King and Mike Bloomfield records for me. Recorded back sometime at the end of 2006 on old analog equipment
Wrote this song in a shitty hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2005.
(Thanks for listening, peeps. Keeps me from realizing I've wasted my time.)
Some lyrics as requested by Richard Feynman:
I'm too relaxed
for me to go make friends
Late on my back
and counting down until the end
what have you done?
The chance has passed
for us to make amends
Alone at last
Sometimes it all depends on me
Can you hear the sound of my voice
Move right along
some distance on your own
I don't belong
in a place I could not call home

Well done! This track is of epic proportion, every minute is exciting. A totally great listen. Superb finale!
@ Guest . . . yeah I probably would. ;)
Would you ever consider covering an Elliott Smith song?
Nice, reminds me of Smashing Pumpkins and Skinny Puppy. The feeling comes right through!
@ Zack Facco I write them out, and then I play/record each part twice.
Really dig these string quartets. How did you go about doing this?
This is better than breakfast! Great arrangements and writing! The production is pretty amazing, too...
