After an adventure in re-recording the entire song down a third, we came back to the original, tightened and tuned.
Always the self flagellating perfectionist, it still needs a bit more love. Always the pragmatist, it is probably done for now.
I do three things after waking up these days: I shower. I make coffee. I play this song and drink my coffee.
Nothing complicated. Nothing fancy. Just some basic fingerpicking to test my motor skills and bring some aural sunshine into my day.
This is the first cover song I've ever really recorded in my 15 years of playing and recording.
The guitar and voice are each full continuous takes, I didn't want to do comping (copy and pasting), though the vocal harmony parts were done in…
24 hours of music making for 2008.
Yup. This is a "Gaiman variation" which means that I stopped at 24 hours and this is what I've got. Not 24 min, but it is a "Noble Failure"

Ah yes, Brian Eno is it? So maybe new bands won't feel like signing up with any record label at all in the future. Bands make money by going on tour. So how do they get heard enough so we all buy tickets to go see them? Maybe alonetone will grow into the answer?

I agree with glu. This track is downright special and strange, and the samples are OUT there. Reminds me a lot of the books. As soon as I get the favorites feature going, this is on my list!
These three tracks are great, man.
Got any more goodies? I'm sure alonetone would eat them up, you tunes are catchy, well produced, and each one is a fun lyrical journey.
Together, this album is an amazing piece of work, and especially so for a 30 day adventure. Congrats again, and looking forward to listen to your new stuff.
Comments on Sudara's stuff
cooking, drinking cheap wine, and listening to alonetone.

Yes! But be careful of always writing in the same key... G-M
I don't think so G-M Change your chords
Yes, very nice. Like a commentary G-M
"the old "Apple blossoms and chapel Bells" theme, but with a nice twist at the end... G-M
Very present.
Loved it. Check out "Baghdad By Shroom" ON Youtube.
my favorite ditch
The family digs it.
Beauty. Is that some vocoder action I hear? Whatever it is, it's really cool.
reminds me a wall... Nice song and voice tone !
You win.
Great playing - great tune. Gave me a much needed lift this morning...rather like caffeine... :-)
I shall greatly enjoy playing this on my houseboat, with a beer!

The track starting at 10:50 is a favorite. Even before I heard the whistle from Akeakamai. :)
I love many things about this album. I like the base and guitar on the opening track.
I like what you do with the Brian Eno dialogue here - it fits right in to the music.

Hey there! Best way to respond to a comment is to simply comment on the same track. It's on my todo list to make it a bit more friendly! Thanks!

a barrel of fun, this has an awesome loose feel to it. was it recorded live, or did you piece it together? It really sounds like a good ole time.
Dizzam. This was the first thing I listened to upon return from the countryside. Killer organ and groove.
Damn, this track is insane to listen to. It sounds like I'm going to the dentist on speed. The fraggy distorted beats are awesome.
This tune is great fun to listen to.
Aww, I didn't want this playlist to end! These tracks are great, brando. I could listen all day. You have any more?
Wow, how did i miss this one, it's fucking great guys.
Nodding my head like a mofo to this one.
...just breathe, it's alright...

The synth sound at 1:30 is great!
More please! :)

GREAT intro track to the album, guys.
Woah, the kick in this one sounds like my upstairs neighbors banging on the floor.
So, I'm on skype video chatting with my father, when he gets on alonetone, puts on this song, and starts dancing.
ha! you are right davey, especially for in progress stuff. I just had the itch to share it.
Be patient, the choruses is missing, as is the nice soft bass, a sprinkle of piano and a bit more of that electric guitar.
Hilarious in a VERY good way, mind you. Like in a "ahhhhh, why is it so funny and so goooooodness?'
