Inhaled Bongos
Wildgeas Music
This is my first effort with real bongos. I’ve been so inspired by Norm’s talents, that I had to give it a try. I borrowed a set of bongos from my brother Asa.

I had to play 18 holes of golf to get my hands on them. Just the idea of them being in his car cost me 7 strokes. :) I really could not wait to get home and mic them up.
There’s 3 tracks of bongos here. 1 washboard which I scratch with a pick, a hardcore plastic tamborine track, 1 cowbell, 1 computer closet, which I hit with my kick drum mallot. Then after mixing it up as percussion, I heard some guitar and bass.
So I added it. :)
I made the click track 3 minutes long, but honestly, My arms were rubber noodles by 2 minutes.
While researching bongos and congos I stumbled on the Cajón. Real cool instrument. I intend to build one with left over lumber I have lying around. More on that when it happens.
MORE BONGOS!!!
This is so swanky cool.
Dig it, I'd like to hear some vocals on this. I like the percussion mix!!
I love the superspy guitar riff in this and the rhythm is so damn cool! Great work! *Dancing*
Nice work! And way to go on the computer closet... basically a cajon. I use cajon quite a bit: the key to building one is to make the striking face out of very thin ("aviation grade") plywood, if you can get your hands on some. Well done!
for a first timer, it's some serious groovy bongos you got there! and the guitar riff is catchy! muy caliente!
Freakin' cool, bud! Definitely Christopher Walken "More computer cabinet!" style! And, sweet debut on the bongos!! Norm will be proud!
That is really cool, Geas! More!!!
A most creditable first Paul. Good one! I think Norm has had that effect on a lot of us.
