This is a good place for me to be....it does me good to remember this.
God around me
God within me
there's nothing i need to fear
always remember you're here
these 2 "new" songs are a test to see if I now have what I need to successfully upload material. These 2 songs were recorded 20 years ago on a Tascam 4-track. The band is the Riptiles.
Hi folks,
It's good to back after RPM and the blackout of 2010.
A couple firsts here. I recorded this 100% with the computer. I never plugged in to a computer before.
I've always used a Roland VS machine and burnt my
songs/tracks to SCSI…
*Dark modern electronic guitar rock*
You can hear it just below the blowing wind
Feel it in the nerves beneath your skin
Catch a glimpse as you drift away at night
But you can’t decode the meaning inside
Distant shrieking sets your teeth…
Oh light, old light ahead
Rain down, rain down on me
There I was just walking the park
It was just a little bit before dark
There I saw you with that shit eating grin,
It was you, living in our old house again
(sigh) ...so I’m running, and you…
The improvisation concept behind this was to only change one note at a time out of a group of three, slowly morphing the tune, except for a couple times that I forgot what I was doing.
This used the grain delay in Guitar Rig to get the shimmery sound in the background. Otherwise I don't remember what the actual improvisation thread was.

Just never got this one sounding like I envisioned it…
just finished this one, represents a slightly new direction i am taking i think.
i am particuarly proud of the polyrhythmic sound i achieved. i was worried it mite become too cluttered (at the beginning) but i think i achieved clarity.
so this song is an old one, one of the first tracks i ever made. it has a long and drawn out beginning and i am not too sure what i think about it (what's new...). anyways, i figured i may as well upload it, it is jsut sitting around anyways…

Great drone, love the percussion, cool track!
Oh my freakin' fistral...this is amazing. That'll be a big fat download.
Faved instantly. I love the vocal elements and the rhythm. Wonderful!
Love! Expaaaanding this? As a motif it's too much of a tease - I really like the folky feel.
Intriguing military feel - like ambient marching!
Love it! Dreamscape!
Gawd, that opening riff...wait, this is only 2 mins long! More!!
Adoring the strings in the second half.
Dig dig dig dig.
Dang! I already faved this. Well, what can I say, I have taste. Edgy and creepy and slinky and dramatic. Sounds like modern ballet score.
Seriously dramatic! What an album opener!
mood whiplash....i may have to steal that phrase.... ;)
I quite like that bizarre transition!
...and a ton of fun to listen to...damn fine work. Love the change up man, truly made the "impossible drop"
Very cool! Sounds like it was a lot of fun to do
Another nice one. Almost missed this one
What a great piece of writing! MTC was dead on- movie score in miniature
Stirring up some exotic flavours!
This is gorgeous - wonderful tantalising intro and the build up doesn't disappoint. Looking forward to your whole project!
Damn fine work! Love the drum work with the tight double bass rolls in there.

Diggin' it; definitely into listening to the rest. Great sound all around.
Gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Absolutely gorgeous; I think it's totally cool with the rough lo-fi sound.
You've got a great voice!
These are groovy tracks even at 20 years old.
Dig it! The synth sound is choice.
Awesome track; reminds me of In Flames' sound around Reroute to Remain.
This is an awesome, awesome song.
This one sounds great too! Your improv ideas are cool and your guitar tone is lovely; definitely makes a winning combination.
I dig your ethereal sound.
