Format Sea - Part Two
Based on the age-old concept that a person is born anew every seven years. It’s technically meant in terms of physiology - you develop all new bones/muscle/fat in a seven year period. I kind of add a spiritual/alien abduction vibe to the mix, though.
6/16/2009 A re-recording of the ten-minute track from Dead In The Water. I’m testing the waters with it here before I upload it elsewhere.
I thought the original version dragged in places, and was in need of an overhaul.
The only downside is it may have lost a little in terms of volume. At this point, I’m go #%?! tired of listening to it, my ears will bleed if I hear it one more time, so I need you to be my ears. =)
Update: 9/10/09 - I’m still tweaking the volume levels. It’s the OCD in me - the good side of it is I’m learning a lot about Adobe Audition in the process.
you have a way of making a particularly long song with minimalist instrumentation, a lot of open spaces, yet it remains interesting and holds the attention for an unusually long span..i think you are truly an innovative composer..levels schmevels
I love the panning.
Nice. Mix seems fine here. I cranked it up so the neighbors could hear. : ) They all think I'm weird so this really helped.
Awesome with headphones! Love the folky vocal around 1 min 55!
