Theres a crazy girl
Looks about my age
Hiding out on the second page
Waiting for the story to unfold
I know they kill her off in chapter two
But I like her
What can you do?
I’m looking for a way to get her out

She wears a cocktail dress, with a target on
She washed it twice, thinks the stain is gone
Still hoping for her moment in the light
I can see the mark where they stick it in
For me that page is wearing thin
I’m looking for a way to get her out

Cant keep away
Hoping that the story’s not the same
If I stood here
To catch her there
