Bitter-sweet, gripping, moving, reaching. Again, the right vocalist for the music, and the right music for the lyrics. You're painting masterpieces with sounds -- musical Mona Lisas.

This one struck and grabbed me like a classic Jim Morrison and the Doors number. Delicious! Very tasty, well done, and sweetly trippy! I'm especially digging this one! This one would be a big hit if I was one of the fat, balding cigar chompers who rule the music industry and make these decisions.

Tess's voice really rocks with these sounds -- gorgeous. You're really good at how you blend and pan and volume the various tracks into the final mix down, which is a science and an art. You've got a groovy feel for composing, for mixing, and for finding the right vocalists.

My 2009 Christmas Challenge song. It's rough around the edges and I didn't have a drumset, so fake drums, but all in all, not a bad little diddy. enjoy!
my entry into the 2008 Sidedown Christmas challenge.
I tried the original Mel Torme chords and version and it just didn't fit for me, so i came up with my own chords and arrangement.

i love how people listen to the first song of an album and then move on. this site is great for telling you exactly who is listening to your stuff and to what. too bad those people i sent links to this CD stopped at the first song. too bad they missed the juicy bits in 2-9.
A blatant attempt at exploiting the deep well of The Jesus and Mary Chain/Pixies/Raveonettes/House of Love. A lovingly loud, shiny and guitar-laden paean to those great bands.
the first new song written for the RPM challenge, i love the guitar part, but the words were last minute. some people get tired of my anti-religion diatribe. oh well

this song is 6 bass parts on top of drum loops. each part is completely seperate mix and effect. that synth sound in the chorus is actually me singing falsetto with muey effects on it.
a song from a previous band (kill.pop.), i took the metal out of it and made it more dreamy. this is actually the 3rd version of this song that i've played.

Oh. Meg…. What a fabulous way to round out the album.
The build and the slinky bassline on this tune are so great. And Alex kills the vocals yet again.
Meg's mellow vox fit the feel perfectly. A gorgeous, subtle track. Great songwriting.
Bitter-sweet, gripping, moving, reaching. Again, the right vocalist for the music, and the right music for the lyrics. You're painting masterpieces with sounds -- musical Mona Lisas.
I agree with the lovely Gene. Awesome altogether. Supergroup!
Fantastic songwriting, Brent... Music and production all solid. I feel like you should get some kind of award.

Love Meg's vox...reminds me of Christine McVie. Hope she records more.
I adore the part where Tess's voice breaks up oh-so slightly at about 3:40. Awesome.

I had a lot of fun playing with the effects on Alex's voice on this one. Another great song.
Beautiful.
Just lovely, and I really like the build.
Classic mid-late '60s sound, and the mix down is fabulous. I really enjoyed Alex's voice. GROOVY!
Tess lets her voice slink through this song. Just a fantastic vocal.
Another tremendous arrangement.
Tess's vocals are a fabulous compliment to a superb mix down of choice sounds -- great job!
Alex hit it out of the park on this one, taking a great song and making it even better.
I love the push-pull of this song.

is this really heavy metal? Tess made me take the heavy bits out :)
i love it, how do you get the vocal effect?

you should put this album up on your list, double exposure.
i was going for tom waits, maybe a little too much?
oh my, this is beautiful. nicely done!
maybe we should do a double album, my versions VS your versions
your demo's are way more impressive than mine :(
someday we need to collaborate. I'll let you sing.
god i love this one. someday you're gonna have to teach me how to sound this good.
well they're sampled loops from Garageband. It's probably time I either buy my own drumset or get some different loops.
I'm working on a new holiday song, should be done soon!

spectacular!
wow, this sounds a lot like Jesus and Mary Chain i love it.
your music makes me want to try harder.
are those loops? how in the world?
i had this guitar part bouncing around for a couple months, unfortunately i was never quite happy with the song itself, one of the parels of RPM.

and that's my kid singing at the end of the song, which is pretty creepy.
