This song was recorded in 1999 with my most recent band, Hoss Williams. The recording took place at the studio on the Webster University campus in St. Louis, Missouri. We were the subject of two audio program students' recording project, and we…

(Remastered 22/10/2021)
And here we go - Edith FINALLY gets it...
Actually, she's been getting it ever since I wrote it on the 29th May. I thought it would take a week or so, but it proved to be more of a fight than I was expecting.
On…
The other night I was sitting out watching a little fire in my backyard, and thinking about how useless it is to let the past dictate our present and future. This one is dedicated to all of us with relationships in our history that have no place…
Beautiful singing and great accompaniment!
I’m working my way—slowly—through your songs here and am taken with your clear, precise singing voice on every one. You put that ukulele to good use too.
Also, thanks for your kind words about my stuff the other day; it means a lot!
A little celestial inspiration for this song.... I started it and Greg and Mark helped me finish it and then record around my kitchen table. Feel free to howl if you like it!
Blood Wolf Moon
VERSE 1
Blood wolf moon this January…
In a world of what I hear as weird pop vocal affectations, your precise singing clear enunciation is refreshing to listen to. Nice guitars and ukulele on these songs too.
Niiiiiiiiiiice work! Love the slow evolution and build of the arrangement as it goes along. Nice vocal sound and melody, and lots of textures to check out. That sort of whacked-out lopsided tremolo on the guitar sound around 4:00 was cool!
Maybe I missed a career scoring for no budget spaghetti westerns, because this is what this reminds me of. Done live a couple weeks ago with the Taylor and a floor full of toys and loopers.
Nice! In terms of textures and space, it's a little like some of Bill Frisell's work. The foreground guitar has a nice, natural, non-piezo-acoustic-electric sound that is appealing.
I am digging your style, guitar sounds and overall mixes; kind of lo-fi garage-y but blues-informed too. Loud, rude, bright and in your face, in a good way.

I wrote it, but I have to say the other three guys in the band more than pulled their weight in the performance of it. It was one of those deals where I came to practice with an idea and WHAM; everybody got it immediately and from there on out it ws just polish and tempo adjustments. Great group of guys to play music with...

Thank you, CV and SS. I don't think I have been compared to Fleetwood Mac before, but it sure played on my parents' hi-fi quite a bit when I was a kid...I must've absorbed some.
I look forward to checking out your music(s)...

Cool song, cool mix, nice work!
Love the ambient treatment, tremolo manipulation and combination of swelled vs abrupt sounds. Sounds like a meticulous and detailed composition.

This is cool in the same way that Bill Frisell’s album “Is That You?” Is cool.
Diggin the bassline!
