live @ Dunn Bros. in Keller, Tx. 1/29/10
Took me awhile to get my legs here, as evidenced by the sloppy playing. The bulk of this is the tune "Blue Hour".
Our sun is in a long, cool, quiet period right now. But average ocean temps are the highest ever, and polar ice and glaciers are melting at an alarming rate. Something is going on here.
Opened for Hentai Improvising Orchestra at 1919 Hemphill in Fort Worth. A 26 minute piece, I had to edit it down to this because of some nasty noise spikes on the louder bits. So whats left is a very sleepy piece.
An octave pedal would be fun to play with on the keys too. I have used a wah wah and distortion pedal on some of my songs. You can have two instruments hooked up to this at the same time? O man..the possibilities.. Great work.

this reminds me of an episode of the Simpson's where there was a chili cook-off and Homer had the hottest chili available at the festival. Then, Homer went into an alternate world and a coyote was talking to him, asking him to find his soul mate. The atmosphere Homer found himself in must have sounded something like this.
Nice work guy.
Started out be an innocent little jazzy study in quartal harmony, but the DL4 was still in my signal path and things went downhill from there! Another done with my beloved '58 Stratotone

I keep my mouth shut cos I don’t wanna be
I don’t wanna be obscene
I keep my eyes shut cos I don’t wanna see
I don’t wanna see what you won’t see in me

Inspired in part by some of the great pioneers of electronic music in the 1970s, Jarre, Tangerine Dream and others. Also a sort of tribute to one of my favorite authours, Stanislaw Lem.
Really good. I like all forms of electronic music, but have never really been any good at making it, unlike yourself. Other good stuff: early Vangelis, Tomita, Steve Roach and Eno of course.
The piece that was originally uploaded here had an awful flaw - the sustain pedal was depressed throughout the piece. This is the correct rendering.
The tuning in question is only slightly different from the "normal" 12 equal.
Rough mix of something brewing.
Started with some minimalistic phrases of in different time signatures (5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 9/4) and grew from there.
From there, things got out of hand.
This is an attempt to bring things back.
Special thanks to my…
An experiment I recorded yesterday with a rig I put together for more or less ambient sounds using two loopers and nearly every effects unit I own. I have no idea who Clark was but he owned the '58 Harmony Stratotone that I used on this cut. His…

Enchanting... :)
Gorgeous interplay between guitar and flute! VERY ethereal.
I'm trying to give this one a listen but nothing seems to be playing for me right now. I'll try again later. I'm sure it's great.
Very cool. Lovely tones!
Love those reverse effects! Cool stuff!
wild tune.
Wish I'd been there. This is great man! Love the way it comes together after about the 6 minute mark. This is a lovely start to my day

Sweet and sour stuff.
Use that excuse more often! Great track! w;-)
Man, I love leaving your stuff playing as I just sit back and listen. The diversity of guitar players on here is lotsa fun.

I mixed this in (accidentally) with Sunn O)))'s Black wedding at the 40 minute mark and had a real good time.
Nice marmot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3HntMTZX0Y
Lush, minimal trip!
Wonderfully expressive improv!
Lovely piece! Is that a resonator guitar? I never would have thought of putting these two together.
Very nice guitar duet.
Thanks all for your kind comments. Peace.
Very much enjoyed this playlist, very melodic ambient, with hints of celtic themes, nice Doug!
