Brilliant, so impressed. I don't suppose you ever listened to Johnathan Richman and the Modern Lovers from late 1970's, your music is kinda the same in that it's really quirky and off-beat and lyrically very clever :)
Car/sex metaphor? I've been likened to a Morris Minor, you know.
This song is just too cool. Reminds me a little of early Adam Ant, only up to date and much better.
That one song from Passager that nobody liked! Death of a Salesman... from hell! Another day in the life of those 'Stopadvertising' folks.
I have always set a little bit
off to the side to help the family

Depeche Mode lite
I was going to hire Meatloaf for the ending but it turns out he will NOT work for pancakes... which is what I had heard.
This is one of the prime examples of (early on) being WAY more ambitious than what my ability…
Thanks very much Kavin, SS, Bethan. The drums... yeah, I needed to exorcise my Peter Gabriel obsession with some crushing, atmospheric percussion at least once.

collab track with Botchulism
tom had sent the instrumental track, I was amazed & wrote lyrics for it but wasn't happy enough with it until I got a little creative to speak/sing like in reverse-ish manner in real time. In fact it does sound…
Cool song, the reverb sounds like the music is being forced through a small opening into a long, cavernous hallway... or something. It's an odd sensation.
I did this last year for a friend of mine who asked me to do a Jingle for his Company. It's a cross between Good Day Sunshine and a Brady Bunch Vacation Sing A Long in the Old Family Cruiser..LOL!! I recruited my children for a bit of background…
A new one...
I wrote it on 5th February, and managed to record it in less than a month (a head-cold and lack of hearing in one ear slowed the last lap somewhat).
But seeing as the last one took over 8 months, I think I'm already ahead for…
Great recreation of early 60's pop sounds, very cool. The only thing that really gives it away is the vocal harmony, not sure why. Maybe it would have been doubled or something, or buried further in the mix.
Comments on Brett Warren's stuff
Love it man!
hey, thank you, transmit!
Good god this is good! Sort of reminds me of Robyn Hitchcock and/or early XTC.
Thanks a lot, guys; ORH, Rick, LR! Thanks for listening.

wow! gonna have this on repeat play, getting shades of the pixies and talking heads but really original. post modern magic.
So good!

yeah yeah yeah (still loving this)
OMG, love your lyric! This is a treat for the ears.
Thanks so much, OGW! I'm familiar with Richman's better known songs, but you've reminded me I need dig deeper into his catalog.

ha, thanks, SS... so, luxury and superior cornering at an affordable price?

Thanks, guys.
Thanks, Proods. This song was a pain in the ass.
Fantastic. Simple, subtle, brief, but it hits all the right spots.
Thanks: Guest, Hesseroni and Gary T.
Awesomely weird. Put this in a Lynch film.
excellent!
This is awesome, it kind of has the effect of two songs playing at once.

Beautiful melody.
I love the flow, nice buildup, very breezy and restrained.
ooh, this is great.
thanks, guys.
Thanks, Gary.
Thanks, Tess, thanks, Bethan.
Thanks a lot: Andrew, James, Proods, ORH!
From the album: The Beatles Sell Out. Ha, just kiddin', nice work.
cool beans... nice structure, very clean. I don't like throwing out comparisons but it feels Three Dog Night-ish!

I like it... kinda Euro-disco-ey meets elevator music. Relaxing AND I can sort of dance to it.
ha, cool.
