You asked me where these rumors start.
"I don't know," I said and crossed my heart.
But I told you I did not hope to die.
You said you can't trust no more.
Why start now? You never did before.
Now I just have to pause and wonder…

This is an experiment in stacking real time delay/looped tracks that had no preconceived connections... all overdubs were done without listening to previously recorded tracks. I hear some very interesting synchronizations.... You?

I've been all around
I've been up and down
I said I've traveled in all directions
Now
The world is new
If you've seen what I've seen
And you've been where I've been
I guess you know what I mean
Now
The world is new

Sloane did me a favor & played an electric guitar part on this one. I had hoped to work with her more on this project, but she wound up leaving town to help take care for a recovering family member.

Goodbye Blue Monday

Goodbye blue Monday
There's nothing else to say
We always knew
we would part this way
Time comes to say goodbye
To pause perhaps and wonder why
Why we always had to be
So blue, so blue
I can see that life…
This song was born on the 18th of Feb. 2011. It was the last piece I wrote/recorded for the challenge. It was a very sad day for me, almost as if all my usual winter sadness was concentrated and crammed into one day. The process of writing and…

paper hearts on your door
Paper hearts ripped in pieces

As night falls, a cold wind blows
Together we shall strive
Hold me now before I fall apart
and come undone in pieces
and fall to the earth the like rain
Hold on through the dark
Hold on climbing together
Hold on to me as…

(RPM 2011) For obvious reasons, many RPM albums make use of improvisational sound collages. ;-) This is the first of three that divide the record into sections. You may or may not hear the connections in the lyrics, but it actually does make…

Thanks to all for the comments, and thanks for listening. This is my favorite thing I've written in quite awhile. Not sure if it's in spite of or because of the pain that inspired it, but either way, it allowed me transcend the overwhelming depression to which I had awoken.

Just one of those passing moods. Just finished today - august 2 2009. I resisted the temptation to try to develop it any further and just let it be what it is

Excellent. Love your voice (as always) and guitar tremelo. Post the lyrics!
