Idiot's Delight

To me this track sounds like getting lost in a funhouse of mirrors while a jungle drum duet spurs one ever deeper into the heart of the crazy maze. Eventually, just as the urge to give into the encroaching insanity can no…

Old Paint Ver.II
Continued from Old Paint Version I............
So, I plugged in the cat eater, hit distort and it took on a whole new feel.
I added bass(finger is tore up now), more drums, and low level fuzzed up leads.
The ghost…
Wow, this is one of my all-time favorites of all your stuff I've ever heard, and that's really saying something! Songs like this (which might never have been created otherwise) are just one of the many reasons I love RPM...
Well, song 10 finally. A bit on the heavy side, some odd FX, strange vox, an Ibanez, The ever present harmonica, and some help from Illegal Alien Autopsy.
This was the first song I tracked for RPM. But, since my pen has run out of ink this month…
Reminds me of Deep Purple, one of my all-time favorite bands!
I don't know how to insert the little headbangin' emoticon here, but do know that I am throwin' the devil horns and rockin' out!
I guess I knew this would happen. Talk about creating one's own reality Sheeeeesh. End of the month and my pen has been re-fueled and I added some vox to this one, plus some lead guitar, and a bit of synth strings. I also took a shot at some…
What a fun fourth of July this was... and I love the background sound of fireworks in this! Really brings it back to me.
This live track was recorded by my dearly departed friend, Hippie Mark. He was far and away our number one fan & I miss him more than words can say. ~ Michael
What we are is mostly water
On our way back to the sea
I have made this trip so many times
I'm just glad you're here with me
Fall alone or fall together
Either way we will be one
You and me, we will reach the sea
And have need for names no more…

> Great song altogether. Fabulous guitar and vocals!
Again, it's all props to my buddy Chris. His playing, arranging, and singing never failed to blow me away... He's one of a kind, and I sure miss hanging with him - and always miss him especially when I sit down to write or record a song.

> Such a great song. It's impossible to sit still.
Thanks man! One of the few positive songs on that record... I really liked that one. May need to revive it! ~ Michael

Chris Mitchell, man. I can never give that dude enough props. He's just a killer guitar player, what else can I say?

Thanks, Alex! What a great compliment coming from such a talented musician as yourself! And yes, of course.... er, how far down the line? :-)

> This one.. believe it or not..
Oh, I'm a believer. I can't count the times I've seen music transcend the boundaries of time and space in just such a manner! :-)
Cheers!
Excellent! Reminds me of the mood of Neil Young's Dead Man soundtrack, but like Bethan said, more of an oriental feel... It conjured up an image in my mind of futuristic Ninjurais silently stealing into an ancient abandoned city from the cover of the encroaching jungle.
Funny story about the ending: my MacBook froze up while recording but I decided to keep hitting keys, and when it recovered I had that sparkly sound. It's probably my favourite thing I've ever accidentally created.
Comments on Cave Street's stuff

This made my brain implode. Noodles! Of course, it will be stuck in my head for days.
I'd say the description fits the song to a T!
Deelightful!
This one is cool.
Classic Cave Street. If there is such a thing.
I once went through a funhouse. The ride jock jumped out of the dark and startled me. I punched him in the chin. Total idiot's delight.
Shiny sounds.
Campfire song indeed! I want to do a washboard layer :)
Sweet!
