Baby In A Grown-up's Body
Colleen Dillon
Happy Sunday Alonetoner’s.
I wrote this song yesterday as I had some recent events to ponder…. I hope you like it. Trying for a bit of a bluesy feel. If you’d like to download it and add some background blues bass or guitar, or harmonies I would definitely welcome the collaboration. I believe its in key of C. Here are the lyrics:
Baby in A Grown-up’s Body
© 2015 Colleen Dillon
I got a baby in a grown-up’s body
I got a baby in a grown-up’s body
I got a baby in a grown-up’s body
Yeah
He says I don’t treat him right
Yeah he says I don’t treat him right
When your bones have stopped growing
And you’re no longer getting tall
It’s time to get it together and
Stop acting like you’re small
Don’t be a baby in a grown-up’s body
Don’t be a baby in a grown-up’s body
Don’t be a baby in a grown-up’s body,
Yeah
Cuz you don’t treat me right
Yeah you don’t treat me right
You been on this earth for a long time
But that don’t seem to show
Those needy ways and crying eyes
Make me want to shut down and go
Don’t need no baby in a grown-up’s body
Don’t need no baby in a grown-up’s body
Don’t need no baby in a grown-up’s body,
Yeah
Cuz he won’t treat me right
Yeah he won’t treat me right
You know he won’t treat me right
When I get a chance, I'll play along with my harp to see how it sounds with it. Nice sound!
Ha!! Thanks Greg! Looks what happens when you show me how to use the mixer tools!!!
I start smiling every time your voice pans to the other speaker. That's fun! Nice song. Andrew has the stuff. I think he's right on, although it may not stop Colin and I adding a little something. Think of it as putting plastic Pink Flamingos in the yard. It may not add much, but you just feel good about it.
I know you can probably hear the "other stuff" - but I kinda like these unaccompanied ones, your voice easily carries the whole thing.
