Zakir Hussain will be missed...
He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, is a published poet, and is the author of I Want to Take You Higher: ...
Great piece Kavin and gosh, sad news, had not heard Zakir died. What a passionate spirit and great loss! Very touching tribute in your foundational sense of the tabla pulse and interplay of appearing textures.
Happy holidays to you!
The Skybeam engineers were placed in sensory deprivation pods and dosed with specially designed psychotropic drugs to enhance perception and creative abilities, the music injected directly into their cerebral cortex for maximum effect..
Agree! The best and a reflection to the old days when you, Steve or me would do that regularly. I miss the energy from those times but it's still very cool that a handful of us remain. Anyhow Kavin there are several figures in this that really give a steady weave throughout. Well done!

An experiment with quarter tone tuning.
I tuned my guitar: low E (normal tuning)
A (quarter step up)
D (normal tuning)
G (quarter step down)
B (normal tuning)
high E (tuned D then quarter step down)
this was an accidental song. I was making another song for which the main two loops of this song were simply the ending. The first of these loops is so visually stunning, I just knew It was its own bar.
This is a great debut for you at improvFriday, good to see you there. As you know I've been trying to cross-pollinate between alonetone and IF, and it seems to be working!

a collaboration of Alister Flint - Carlo Serafini - Chris Vaisvil
so, Chris did this. Carlo did that. and i added some. for the technical stuff, see below. :)
This piece uses multiple tunings simultaneously and is the inaugural…
This is a microtonal Jazz-ish piece produced with some newly developed techniques.
Norm Harris provides the excellent percussion. I probably could have made it easier on myself by not being so chromatic… but there it is.
The piano, bass…

So neat 🆒
Aw, that's sad. I just got into his music last year. He had so many incredible performances. This is a nice tribute.

cool ambient harmonica! I like this!
I agree with jimgoodin.
New and unusual for you! Textures on this first made me think you’d gotten an accordion which the harmonica is sort that family. Sounds very cool K!
Really good 😊 just extra fun ☺️
Reminds me of some band of gypsies magic music ✨🎶
Power!
This is cool! I love how it builds
