A little Christmas present to everyone. A little symphonic, some chill, then a little hip and hop to boot! Let me know!!!
In the meantime ... I wish everyone in Alonetone Land a very Happy and Merry Christmas.
Well first of all it's late. I wanted to have this up on the 21st. to mark the Mayan Time Shift, but with work and picking at parts of the music.Changed the title. It's a strange piece,it poured out of me and I picked at it. Tell me what you think.
This is a piece in a microtonal tuning - but sounds very much like pentatonic in "normal" 12 equal tuning to my ears. But I work in microtonal tunings all the time and may be biased.
How "in tune" does this sound to you?
Drones are nothing new. But I decided it was time to seriously explore them.
For those interested in how these things develop. The drone was developed on my looper pedal by layering guitar sounds that were processed by uPOG and Freeze pedals…
Draft (in kitchen sink mode, still) of a track from "Figgle Your Winger" eta 2012... a sprawling tone-art-poem sometimes in 5/8 meter. Some synth parts created on iPhone with Synthpond.

Its why they fly in cris-cross patterns!
You get some great sounds out of the pedal!
truly beautiful!
nice guitar enhanced swells and for some reason I want to say pointalism in the foundation.

I did not get the title of the song till I realized the relationship to the Beatles and revolution number 9 cool
reminds me of the minute man air corp of Massachusetts bringing down spitfires during the Boston Tea Party of 1812. Some tea - some party!
It's as if I am there but am I not there I am not sure I am here or there.. sure it's that if you can think of anything then it will be...
excellent ---
Feels like it's eternally ascending like an Escher staircase

Hey JMT your experimental side is showing! I'm diggin it!
Nicely assembled, pastoral shifting moods.
Most of the notes are on pitch but some are maybe a few cents flat? I agree with Sister.
Lonely, desolate sounds. Thanks for the in-depth. Apparently I need a freeze pedal.
This has a very native American flute sound to it. Nice.
For some reason it didn't show the playlist on the home page. Well here it is http://alonetone.com/coelocanth/playlists/insideoutsidein
