I wrote a poem and a song based on some experiences and dreams.
Sunday Jazz Brunch
(written for BC)
I dream of us at Sunday jazz brunch
Bacon, eggs, home fries, coffee, and jazz.
Relaxing in our robes and slippers
Reminiscing about…
Immigration seems to be the top topic of discussion in the UK at the moment.Where I live in the country I don't even notice what the problem is because I live right out in the sticks and hardly see anyone, the only time I notice anything is when…
a twist in the tale....
My sister Mary calls on me
Very rare she comes around
She tells me she is in love with this guy
Who lives on the other side of town
Wide eyed, loud and gushing
She tells me his name is Danny McCrew
Over coffee…

There's a story behind this that's uninteresting to anyone but me. A short version is that my old, broken guitar (made semi-immortal with duct tape and instrumental willpower) needed to play this Dylan song before it is laid to rest.
One of my favourite songs off Blood On The Tracks and you have covered it so well. Cool expressive vocal and those banjo solos sort of add a poignancy. Good job mate.

You're gonna break my heart
You look just like a friend I had
But I don't remember you
Come with me
You'll be safe in my arms

Your mom won't know
Your dad won't care
Your sister's…

Mr. Greene
The most beautiful man I’d ever seen
Our high school teacher Mr. Greene
Little more than a child at seventeen

Immature and so out of touch
Just a silly schoolgirl crush.

Tear-stained skin weathers resting near as the sun is born
A sacrament to visions of sorrow and seasons of remorse
Butterflies disturb the light with dance
Flowers sway and gently bend
Beckoning with soul the wind
Life brings another chance…
WOW! That is one beautiful song. The lyrics are lovely poetry and the recording nice and clear. I like how you have panned the acoustic guitars and also the laid-back vocal performance. Great work.
