**Song-writing Demo for FAWM 2022**
Song number 2

I wrote this one a couple of hours ago.
I set up for recording, and busted a string on the Martin... GAH!!!
I tried a big ole dreadnought thing…
Some blues/boogie fun.
Ain’t no fun
It's a well known fact
When you’re with the wrong woman
And caught in the act
Sworn to secrecy
We even made a pact
But didn’t matter
We were caught in the act
Been watched and followed
Traced…
Song 5 for the RPM Challenge. Building tunes around an incessant bass line is oddly appealing to me. This is a bit of a dystopian song of sorts. Thanks to anyone who listens!
Take me to the river
and hold me under water
Bow down beside…
Nice one. Yeah, I've been thinking (listening to stuff elsewhere) about writing to basslines. Most of the time I write with an acoustic guitar, singing it as I play it - no recording equipment is used/harmed. But something else happens if the bass is laid down first. And, as a writer, I also find it strangely appealing. Cool track... I'm ready for the next one!
The Minnesota Association of Songwriters issued a writing challenge this January to "borrow" conceptually from a writer that has influenced our writing to create a new original work of our own. Once you hear this, I think you'll get the idea…
Beautiful! Great idea for a song. What a lovely melody. ps. thanks for your support. Glad I found your music too; it's all so gorgeous. Listening to the next one as I write this. :)
Song 3 of RPM 2022. For the many tortured artists I've met with a bit of a dance spin to it. Most of my songs are unintentional and unplanned....they just happen. Thanks to anyone who's listening!! :)
Song 4 of my 2022 RPM challenge. A simple popish tune to add to the mix.
I never told you
what I wanted
no, it don’t feel right
the things you say
the things you do
well they hold me hold me
I never asked you
for anything
I…

OK, this is a bit of a departure for me - posting songwriting demos.
This is a one mic recording made this morning in the living room, touch of reverbs…
This song is the feeling of having your life speed around you while you only catch glimpes of half remembered sights and sounds. A feeling of getting through to start it again.
Short and sweet like the apple pie! I always do a collab every year with our senior songwriter (Mr Cooperider aged 85) . I'm getting on a bit myself but he gives me the inspiration that i can bug you all for many more years to come! Ukulele…

Very interesting version of The Apostles' Creed. Intro remind me R.E.M and chorus Morrissey. Great work ;)

Great piece. I love the feeling of this...moody and complex. Seriously cool. RPM brings out some of the best stuff.
Eerie and gorgeous!
oh yeah! I love this. Wild. haha..."cute" is not the adjective that came to my mind though. Great topic for a song too. The vocal effects are great.
I missed this one earlier. Love those beautiful images. Magical
I’d be dancing to this indeed!
You have a great voice! Excellent song. Very catchy indeed. Good luck on your RPM!
Excellent Roger
Saw the video , I was unable to comment there? So, I loved it. Great old photos Nice work
Hello, Roger I like the vocal undoubled, seems more intimate Oh I saw an ECO 12 string they are rare around here.
Beautiful
That’s a great sounding demo Andrew! I share your thoughts on RPM. I did it for several years, but now I would rather take my time.
I plan on using this in the RPM Challange but not sure how to do it from here
